Had a productive day around the house. One more bedroom left to paint and have all the shutters removed for a fresh coat of paint and I'm done. I will be back to actually contributing to the forum shortly. I hope everyone had a great day today.

Been a busy three days. One medical procedure Monday for Cherri. One today for me. Sunday our grandson Gage graduated high school so we spent the entire day in celebration. Gage just turned 18. He is already an accomplished commercial welder with a couple years experience under his belt. Laser focused on becoming a gas and oilfield pipeline welder. He is currently working infrastructure projects along the Arkansas river but travels several surrounding states as directed. Not bad for an18 yr old in today's world. Yeah, I'm proud of him.

Good for him. While he is working his butt off and making good money, his friends will be in $80,000 of school debt with most of them fighting to find a decent job.
I told my kids that if they don't show initiative to learn a trade or go into college with a goal, I will be marching them straight to the recruiter. Leaning heavily towards the Army of course

So true Paul. Gage has also logged many hours operating dozers and trackhoes. He's been gathering the necessary skills since he was 12.

I love the gulf! That lighthouse was designed by my son, and he oversaw the construction. Largest stone lighthouse in the country, I believe.
Looks like a great time fishing!

That is a chapel that is under construction. My son wants to make it a Catholic chapel, but his boss is Protestant, so we'll see! That lighthouse is on Corpus Christi Beach about where the red X is on the following screen shot of my map app:
The lighthouse and chapel are actually part of an expensive apartment (condominium?) complex.

Good morning Guardians, nice to see so many folks dropping in My mate Bod was staying in a guesthouse up the road from me, and they had an 11pm curfew. He made it back with a minute to spare! 
He'd have been better staying with me, then we could have sat up all night, drinking brown ale and rum, talking rubbish, and waking up today with sore heads! His flight back to Poland is not until this afternoon, so I've told him to give me a ring if he wants to come round for breakfast I hope everyone else is having a good week, and that your day goes well today
