Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

What type is that Leon? Any tips on cooking them?
It's a Gummy Shark, they are boneless so make for great eating with a moist sweet flavour. Can be fried in a light batter, or just grilled in some oil and butter. I had some the other night cooked in a pan with some Macadamia Oil and a little bit of Butter, then salt and pepper and poured the juices from the pan over the fillets. :p :p :p

Good morning Guardians, nice to see so many folks dropping in :) My mate Bod was staying in a guesthouse up the road from me, and they had an 11pm curfew. He made it back with a minute to spare! :D He'd have been better staying with me, then we could have sat up all night, drinking brown ale and rum, talking rubbish, and waking up today with sore heads! 🤣 His flight back to Poland is not until this afternoon, so I've told him to give me a ring if he wants to come round for breakfast :) I hope everyone else is having a good week, and that your day goes well today

Glad you had a pleasant reunion with Bod, Jack. You made a good choice for your carry today. Hope you have a good one.😀

It is good to see everyone shaking off the winter cobwebs and enjoying the great outdoors again.

That sounds a lot nicer than the shark I've had Leon, which I think has been mainly Dogfish. I find it rather bland, and even after extensive marinating, I don't think it makes for great eating. I doubt I'd taste great if I'd been swimming around in the North Sea either though mate! : 🤣

Thank you very much Bob, we had a very pleasant evening, catching up. Bod drinks like a fish, and I told him I was paying for the food and beers, so nearly every time I went to the bar, I got a pint for me, and 2 pint bottles of Newcastle Brown for Bod! :D I lost count of how many he had! 🤣
It's maiden job, getting some patina going cutting some hot meat and hot vegies.   .

That looks tasty my friend :) You have turned into 'The Galloping Gourmet'! :D ;)
I've just put the heater on for the First time. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤠
I hope you have an easy winter Leon :)

I love the gulf! That lighthouse was designed by my son, and he oversaw the construction. Largest stone lighthouse in the country, I believe.
Looks like a great time fishing!
That is so cool! Such a neat structure and I bet he enjoyed that project. It towers over that area and made for a great reference point on the Bay. Cheers to your son.
I'm glad you all had a great time buddy 😎 Thanks for the fantastic photos, that meal looks delicious 👍
Thanks Jack. We had some fun.
Nice fishing Pete 😎 I was going to ask about that impressive-looking lighthouse, but it seems Prester John Prester John has some inside knowledge 😎👍
😎

Thanks Pete. Hope your wife has a great break as well. 😎👍

Awesome lamb you has as well! Love the pictures. My daughter caught this Bonnet head several years ago in Florida. View attachment 2196107

Thanks buddy! 😎👍

Nice way to spend the evening Paul. 😎👍
I see you don't hold a bonnet-head shark with your thumb over its lower jaw.

Very cool, neat to see a local connection and additional perspective on your son’s involvement Prester John Prester John It is a fantastic structure, was wondering if anyone would recognize it 👍

Good morning Guardians. On Monday I had to make a visit to my dentist for some work to be done. Got through it OK but my face got a little swollen and once the anesthetic wore off... 😧 So Tuesday I played golf (still a little out of sorts from the dentist visit). Should have taken the day off. Much better today and I'll be trimming down a bunch of golf tees (courtesy of my dentist) for par 3's.

Sorry to hear about your dental misadventure Bill ☹️ I need to go back myself, as my new crown is slightly proud. Interesting tees there, and they make for a cool pic 😎👍

Absolutely! This thread is so much fun! Here are a few more pictures. This boat storage was really impressive. I’ve never see a forklift that size. Lots of “Miami Vice” vibes in there.

Wow Pete, that's really impressive! As is your Lambsfoot and pocket slip :) This drive-on elevator outside Leeds Grand Theatre always impresses me
