Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I see a dark foreboding sky in that horn DwightπŸ˜ƒ or a sperm whale with middle pin being it's eye.πŸ€”
Very nice.
 You're right! I see them both! :cool:πŸ˜„πŸ˜
Beautiful knife, Dwight. Looks like an interesting book
Thank you Vince. Excellent reading.
I'm beginning to think Tool Man might actually be trying to eat a little healthier, and he does seem to have lost a few pounds. He would absolutely deny it of course!
That's good to hear Jack. πŸ‘:)
Stunning photo Dwight  I hope you're enjoying the book :) I think the BBC did a TV series based on the book. The Wreckers is also an excellent read
I am enjoying the book. So far I've been unable to find a copy of The Wreckers.
Cool pic!
Thank you David.
I had been hunting a lamb that would be special and take up major space rotation. I was willing to take my time and look for awhile. Bob and I struck up conversation about his opinions about his different models…and before I know it, this beauty is in my doorstep.

Go it begins!

The Bocote beauty has accompanied me to the first installment of Sam's flag football practice for the summer. Game on!
Beautiful bocote clad lamb! Bob is a very kind and thoughtful fellow.
Thank you, Dwight! With all the custom lambs, the Albers and Jack's SFOs, it's a rich time for us Guardians. I'm constantly floored by all the gorgeous customs shown just in the last 6 months or so.
So true Jeff! Timing is everything... :)
Cheers Pete :)

Very generous :) Congratulations Jon, that's a cool pic

LOL! :D It was across the road from the Elgin, next to a cafe I used to sometimes used to go in. It was quite an experience round there wasn't it Jer? :D

That's coming along nicely Daniel :)

Good morning Guardians, the weather isn't so good here today, forecast is dull/overcast, and down in the high 50's all day. I've already arranged to go for a walk though, starting off with checking out how the swans are going on :D Carrying my Albers Lamb again :) Have a good day Guardians

Albers looking good!
Thanks David :)
Great shot of your Albers !
Thank you Steve :)
A great place to live, back then.
I hope it wasn't here that i've said this already, but watching the new Dalgieshes I was impressed by their recreation of the seventies, and stunned to realize that the seventies aren't yesterday's fashion anymore, they're an historical epoch. But my knee isn't so bad, considering my historicity.

We are lucky to have had the historic experience Jer, to have been in that place, in that particular time

Good morning Guardians. May be afternoon where you are or maybe later. Off to the links this morning. Unfortunately the course is not St Andrews as depicted by my re-cycled photo. I have a non-Lambfoot knife attached to my golf bag and seldom use it. Made by some Swiss company of old;). Will be carrying my HHB later today.

I just looked on Amazon here, and they have it priced between Β£238.99 and Β£269.99! I don't think I paid more than Β£5 for my copy, but that was at least 10 years ago. I'll keep an eye out for a copy for you mate

Fantastic shot of the Afzelia lamb Jack!
Thanks Dwight :)
Fabulous photo my friend :)

Hope everyone is having a good day :) I wasn't very pleased with the photos I took today, regretted not having a longer lens :( I'll post a few anyway, the 'castle' is an old folly

I drove by an empty field where the city stockpiles snow that it removes from streets.

At its highest point this pile was at least thirty feet high or so.

This is what remains as of today.

Hope everyone's week is off to a better start than Jacks πŸ˜‰

Wow! I’m amazed there’s still some left, as warm as it’s been. We lived in Peoria, IL for a year while my wife was doing an internship. First time I’d lived outside of Arkansas (which is to say, the first time I lived somewhere that snow stuck around for more than a couple days). They would take all the snow from downtown Peoria and pile it up in a big parking lot beneath a bridge that went over the river, so it was shaded pretty much all the time. I remember driving by there a month or two after the last snow and there still being a small, filthy pile like the one in your pic… but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t as late as June!

I am enjoying the book. So far I've been unable to find a copy of The Wreckers.

Have you tried any online used book sites? I just did a quick search and found some inexpensive used copies.

Thanks David, it was like two huge, thick chocolate chip cookies, with a layer of chocolate holding them together! :D I had a coffee with it, but I'd have needed another to completely finish it! :D
Afternoon Guardians! 19 on the trail with me today.

Thanks Barrett! I had only looked on Booksprice.com and they only showed Amazon to have it at a very high price. After I read your post I tried some others and found one super cheap. Much obliged amigo.

I found a copy Jack after Barrett's advice. I just assumed that if booksprice.com couldn't find one then there aren't any out there. Yet another lesson learned.

Amazon is BS mate, they prey on peoples lack of knowledge and insight into products. I saw something on amazon here the other day for just over $150, you can secure them for $19 plus postage from the actual seller and producer. But if average Joe does not know this he thinks Amazon is the market price. Always do your research.

A friend of mine who is a fanatic about the food she eats put me onto this, have not had this for about 50 years, used to be able to buy it in most butchers shops when i was a kid. Went out of fashion if i recall because we were told it was unhealthy, so people stopped buying it and they just stopped making it. The world has been poorer for it since, πŸ€ͺ πŸ€ͺ πŸ€ͺ 🀣, it is sensational. Have had a crockpot of soup cooking all day and the wafting smell has my saliva glands working overtime πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›, will be consuming it in about half an hours time.

Rosie riding shotgun today. It annoys me that the DOD has blocked BF as they say it goes against their weapons policy. Hello we have much more than pocket knives here. View attachment 2209893
