Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It's getting hard for me to tell Barry Maguire that I don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Carrying my fancy lamb today and will have it in my pocket tonight at my son’s National Honor Society induction tonight. Proud parent day today, that’s for sure.

Congratulations Jeremy :) A wonderful excuse to break out that beauty :)
Sounds like a nice day, Jack. Tool Man is a man of the people. He just don't care and goes on about his day doing what he wants. That was a mega sammich!!!!!
Thanks Paul 🤣
A nice day today. Not as hectic. Enjoying this lovely weather and took a break and soaked in some nature. I will refrain from burritos and bog rolls today 😆 🤣 😂. Went a little rogue yesterday. Got Calamity in the pocket. Hope everyone has a great day. Happy birthday to Steve!!!! and congrats to your son, Jeremy.

Glad to hear there were no burrito calamities Paul! :D Calamity is looking fine as wine
No fisticuffs, no drama and a quiet day; are you sure you were at the right market Jack?
LOL! :D What's going on Bob?! o_O🤣

Good morning Guardians, I'm having to rush a bit this morning, as I have an early appointment at the barbers, and need to get a few things done before then, so I might have to catch up later. I hope everyone has a great Friday, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. I'm carrying one of the three Lambsfoot knives Reaper AL Reaper AL gifted me today, which were re-built and re-covered by J jsdistin :) This one has African Blackwood covers :) Picked up the framed map from Golden Gordon yesterday ;)

Thanks. I think I have another pic.

Back in 1991, I returned to England after teaching English in France. I had previously worked as a wine lecturer, but changes in government funding, had caused the two training agencies, I had previously worked for, to close. While I was mulling over what to do, I bought a copy of a survival and outdoor magazine, which I had read in the past, and wasn't too impressed with the standard of their articles. Having recently read the Urban Survival Handbook, which had just been published, I decided to submit a short review of the book to the magazine. I was surprised when I received, by return post, a letter asking me for a photograph to go with the review, and a request to write more articles. Within six months, I was writing as much as 2/3 of the content of the magazine, and went on to write for, and sub-edit, bigger and more prestigious titles. So, while I had been writing since the 70's, my review of that book was the first piece I received a cheque from a magazine for, and quite an important milestone for me :)

My latest addition to the flock. This one from a stateside dealer who recently received an SFO from Michael May. I’m very pleased with it!

Congratulations buddy, I think your vendor served you well there  The swedged blades, and more traditional lines, are a big improvement on earlier May Lambsfoot knives I think
Went on a wonderful hike with the family (minus my oldest girl). This is Yellowbranch Falls in Oconee Co. South Carolina. The water was way too cold for me, but that never stops my polar bear kids. The Bobcote Lamb was along for the ride 👌🏼.

Fantastic pics Jon, it looks like you all had a wonderful time :)
Afternoon Guardians! Happy birthday Steve. Tool Man contemplating his sandwich sure is an interesting pic.🤠

LOL! :D I wonder what the sandwich was thinking David!🤣 Nice shot of your handsome '19 my friend :)
Happy Birthday, Steve! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

The last time I tried to wish someone a happy birthday in this thread (I think it was Jack), I had to censor my whole happy-birthday-spelled-out-in-knives pic (and add in one Lambsfoot exclamation point after the fact)… 🤣

…so I put together a new Happy Birthday image that is Guardians-thread-friendly, except I don’t have enough Lambsfoot knives to spell the whole thing out, so an abbreviation will have to do. 😉

LOL! :D Well done Barrett, you have a great imagination :) Some beautiful Lambs there :col:
As much as we all admire and love the beauty of knives, they are foremost a tool, a working implement, and edge sharpness and retention is most important. You wouldn't take a Maserati up and old logging track, you would take an old Landy. Thought for the day. o_O😂😂😂🤠
Very true Leon :D :)
Fabulous photo of that bible black beauty Dwight

I don't know if anyone recalls my abandoned trip to York last Saturday, with 200 people queuing for the twice hourly bus? Most were going to the seaside places an hour or two past York, and with holidays booked, couldn't afford to turn round, and just go home, like I could. I was chatting to a bus-driver I know yesterday, and he told me that it was even worse in the other direction, and that on Saturday evening, after the last bus departed, packed, from the seaside town of Scarborough, 1400 people were left stranded! Seems like I made a good decision to go to Charlie's cafe instead of York!:thumbsup:

Indeed, good fortune was with you that day Jack.😃 You may have needed your guide, had you traveled to York.

Yeah, would have been a real struggle Bob, the buses would have been coming into York packed! 😱👍
Most certainly did. Queue's are something i now refuse to participate in, life is too short at my stage. 🤣 🤣 🤣
Definitely mate, a queue will add ten years to you! 😁👍

I got a haircut at the barbers, and then headed to the market. I had a gift for a Polish feller who makes my coffee down there. He's recently got into bushcraft, and was after a ferro-rod. I dare say I have a few other things I can send his way ;) Had a good chat to the army surplus feller after that, went to the bank, and then it was time for lunch 😉

It looks a heck of a lot better than the one I received directly from Mr May. My was a complete disaster. He did refund my money but only after months of correspondence. Your blade brings looks very nice too. Much luck with it.

Thanks Jack. Looks like your decision last Saturday was the correct one…what a mess!!! Hope you have a fantastic Friday, looks like it is off to a good start.

Nice pic Jer 🙂👍

I remember that Bill, and a few other stinkers too. The recent change in the appearance of Mr May's blades, and the marked increase in quality, might lead some folks to be suspicious 🙄👍
Good morning Guardians. Warm and sunny this morning. Still trying to get over the muscle soreness I was blessed with from washing and detailing the Mrs's car. Getting to be more and more work these days. Trusty HHB with me today.

Everything gets harder as you get older Bill, I think ☹️ Beautiful pic of your Hartshead Barlow 👍

Thank you Jeremy, lovely day here today, and it's supposed to be in the 90's at the weekend! ☀️ Have a good one yourself my friend 👍
