Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I just took a pic of my beloved Hartshead Barlow, and realised it's my 3000th photo of this knife! :)

Here it is in 2019

Some things do get better with age apparently...nice Jack.
The wife loves these! Hope everyone is having a good day. I went for a haircut this morning and walked out with a Mohawk. I did not request a Mohawk. 😑😆View attachment 2224128
The best they can do with me is neaten my monk appearance.
Have a great evening (night, morning, afternoon) Guardians.View attachment 2224136View attachment 2224135
Very cute Dwight..you do great justice to those scales.👍🏻
That advert for MD2020 is a classier image than Mad Dog evokes in me.

Very nice capture of your lamb Jer.👍🏻

Thanks. That's my ukulele accoutrementage reticule.[If spellcheck never heard of a reticule, I won't worry that it doesn't like accoutrementage.]

Thanks Bob, don't go breaking too many hearts my friend :) ;)

I wish you could send some of that rain our way. We are in a drought here.
I'll start filling buckets Steve! Hope you get some relief soon buddy
Happy Tewsday Guardians !

Quality Jer :)
Since there was so much talk about haircuts and barbers, I figured this cigar would be the perfect choice this morning…a H. Upmann barber pole.
Sorry Pete…I couldn’t resist! 🤣View attachment 2224688
Nice cigar to go with your handsome Charlie Lamb Todd

A few months ago, sometime after I have Barber Brian the sack, I was sat in the pub with my mate Wolfie, and his brother, who we call Brother Tony. Tony was complaining about the mess the barber had made of his hair, and when he took his cap off, he wasn't wrong, it looked like it had been cut by a blind man (or a vain, middle-aged man, too stupid to wear his specs)! I said, "Bloody Hell, who cut that?" But as the words were leaving my mouth, I remembered Tony also went to Barber Brian! o_O The thing is, we must have both been his best tippers! Tool Man, on the other hand, who doesn't even pay Brian his rock-bottom asking rate, always opines, "Well, he's never messed my hair up yet!" Seeming as he barely has any hair, that would be quite difficult!🤣

I am just learning about the history of the lambsfoot, but I love the blade shape and the beautiful knives. As a poker player and novice knife collector, I knew I had to have this GEC 88 on first sight. The shield is perfect and I love Micarta. I’ve decided to carry this knife and use it, although I will protect it in it’s slip.
I’m on the hunt for a true lambsfoot knife next .🤘😀

Wish me run good, I’m raising. ♠️♦️♣️♥️

I love Taxi Driver but not this much Jack! 😆

That doesn't look so terrible, but if I were you, and didn't like it, I'd go buy a trimmer and just give myself a buzzcut. In 2020, when the salons were closed, I learned how to cut my own hair. It only had to look good from the front for zoom meetings, after all. Now I save $35 each time I trim my own hair. I should do it daily and I'll be rich!
Good ole Mad Dog 20/20 !
LOL! :D I recently went off cheese for some reason, the cheeseburger I had at the weekend was the first time I've had any cheese since March
Here's an older picture Wee Staggy. I can't eat like this anymore (a week's worth of my new sodium budget) but I can still carry the Lambsfoot. ;)

My 2020 cut :)

I've never tasted it Rachel, I was in my early 30's by the time it was on sale over here, so I missed it! Thankfully! ;) I do have some happy memories of Thunderbird :D When I was a kid though, most youngsters got hammered for the first time on hard cider (all cider is 'hard' here) 🤮

Happy days :)
Looking good Ken :)

I recommended Jon Krakauer's book Into Thin Air a few days ago, and came across this recording of a talk he gave. It's quite fascinating, but sadly the recording ends prematurely :(

And it was a very good read Jack. Now I have to read The Climb to delve into the controversy.

I'm glad you enjoyed it Bob. I've read The Climb, but don't remember it as clearly. I'll have to see if I still have it. There was a movie too. I still had a subscription to my old climbing magazine, 'Climber', that year, and remember reading about it very clearly, as I'm sure many do

Very disheartening about the spoilage of such a stately mountain. I will be watching Everest tonite.

Absolutely terrible Bob, and unfortunately, before the 'tourists', that started with dedicated mountaineers who claim to love the mountain. Unfortunately, there are a lot more of them now, and they take so much more crap with them

[dropped quote of the Name of the Rose.]
I might have followed her instead of Sean Connery.
This book arrived today. It's bigger than I expected.
It smells funny; maybe it is new, not as new.

Yeah, me too mate! 🤣 That's the version I got Jer, surprised me too. My original was ex-library stock, but a very nice edition 🙂👍

I'll look at the rawhide section. I have a woodchuck and a throwing knife. {I still can't believe Michigan has a law against hunting with spears. That's really a problem?]

Though it isn't hunting, if something comes at you while you happen to be carrying a spear while mowing the lawn.
