Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Jack, it's good to see the Blackwell and I'm glad you still drop it in your pocket occasionally
I get frustrated trying to capture a good image of my knives with my phone which leads to low participation on BF. I need to buy a user friendly camera that doesn't require much adjustment to get a decent image. There's just so many options I don't know a good value when I see it. If anyone has a good suggestion I'm all ears. View attachment 2237408
Two wonderful Lambs, Rob!!!

I picked up this old pamphlet at the vintage fair, priced several times more than it would have cost me at the regular market

That's not me on the front waving my stick by the way, it's Blind Jack Metcalf of Knaresborough :D

It pings my heart to see a Waynorth in other Lands!!! Nice Pamphlet, Jack!!!

Some turkeys came by yesterday while I was raccoon fingering my knife. I learned another useful skill. I can balance my ipad on my gut and get the knife in focus and then tilt the ipad just so to get the turkeys in focus. Amazing what you can do with such a knife.

Turkeys or Knife?? Turkeys or Knife?? Can't say which I enjoy more!!
What State are you in Unc???

So weird isn't it? It's not, as if, like fungi, they're hard to identify or anything?! I was once walking through my back garden with a lad in his 20's, and I asked him if he wanted a blackberry. In a surprised voice, he said, "Can you eat them?"!! 🤯

I've heard the same thing and not just from younger people.

You captured those two beauties perfectly.

Bob
Thanks Bob
That's what I do and usually some editing as well 👍
Yes I edit too, at the risk of sounding like a whine bag, I can't tell you how many times I don't get an acceptable image out of 10 to 12 shots, that's the frustrating part.
Couple beauties. That Thomas Turner Encore really trips my trigger. 🤠
Thanks David, the Turner is a favourite, the lines are crisp, super smooth and snappy action

Definitely Rob, it's one of my favourite vintage Lambs, and I always enjoy carrying it :) Those two are exquisite my friend, and as Steve says, there's certainly nothing wrong with this pic  Sorry to hear you're frustrated with the camera on your phone, I rarely use the camera on mine. I've never noticed anything lacking in your photography skills :) I'm sure one of our master photographers can give you better answers, but I still take most of my photos on a Canon SX620 HS, which must be 10 years old now, maybe more. It is pocket-sized, has a built in zoom, and while it has a bunch of settings, I basically use it as a point and shoot camera :D I carry it everywhere, which is why it gets used so much (though I do get better results with my newer Canon :) Admittedly, my standards are low

What is going on today Guardians, now Rob is disappointed with his photography?! I was going to make some roast potatoes to go with my chicken and mushroom pie, but the potatoes I bought 2 days ago are sprouting all over the place! What happened to the days when a sack of spuds would keep all winter?! 🧐 I thought some sweet potato fries and onion rings might, at least, allow me to taste out the hot sauce I bought yesterday, but I'm sure the sample I tasted in the shop was a good deal hotter

Jack, I may be a little overly critical of my pictures, when you zoom in on this pair the letters of the stamps are slightly blurry and in general when I have good focus on my tang stamp the blade tip is always slightly out of focus, I guess I'm turning into an irritable, hard to please old man 🥺
Thanks for the information on cameras, a point and shoot is a good option.
Two wonderful Lambs, Rob!!!
Thanks Charlie
I think I have a 15-20 to 1 ratio, so I'd say you're doing good

Edit: Took 23 pics. A half dozen were acceptable, so right in the 15-20:1 range 🧐
And its not even that great of a pic 🫤
Great knife though :D

Thanks Mike, that's a great knife for sure, the blade pairing is excellent 👌

Hunger pangs led me to the Tunisian food stall! :)

I bet you never leave there still hungry! 😁

While I was eating, a pair of young people in their early 20's sat down at the next table. They were enthusiastically talking about going to a festival, and the odd bits of camping equipment they'd need to buy. After 10 minutes of this, she announced, "I'm taking my own tent, I hate sharing." And here's me disappointed about pocketing the wrong pocket knife! :D Things went kind of quiet after that ;)

🤣🤣

I was mainly disappointed in having misled folks here, by posting a pic of the wrong knife  ;)

It might take some time, but I think we can find it in ourselves to forgive you. 😉🤣

…I probably took 10 or 12 shots to get this 1 good shot.

That’s pretty typical for me, sometimes more! 😁

When I was in college, we were moving from one place to another and found a bag of potatoes in the pantry that I think had been there the entire year we lived in that place. It didn’t smell at all… until we moved it! 🤢🤣

Looks good, Jack. Sorry the hot sauce was a disappointment. 🫤

We’re out running errands today, and I realized after leaving the house that in the shuffle of moving pocket stuff from one pair of shorts to another, I forgot to put a Lambsfoot back in my pocket. 🙁 (My usual carry, at least recently, has been one Lambsfoot and one non-Lambsfoot.)

Charlie the turkeys and I make our habitat in California in the little town of Santa Cruz. We’re right at the foothills of the mountains and about a 15 drive through town to the ocean. My cat and I enjoy sitting outback which I figured happens to be along a wildlife corridor. The critters all get along. And I have been enjoying my Old Man Jack teardrop lamb. I think your posting was the first I saw of it. Here’s a pic of my cat and a turkey ignoring each other from yesterday.

Hope you can find some shade David, I can see why you're still honeymooning with that one  :)
I did thank you. Its been a sweet honeymoon so far!
Sorry! 🤣 We certainly wouldn't be seeing the current international Lambsfoot renaissance without you guys - the Guardians! 😊😊:thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, you fellers are going to cause me to need to get a new hat! :D Hope everyone is doing OK, and that you have something good awaiting you this weekend :) The days when I was out hiking every Saturday are just a pleasant memory I'm afraid, and I don't really have many plans for the weekend, but I'm sure I'll find something to do :) Carrying the first US production Lambsfoot today - by our very own Charlie waynorth waynorth - a real milestone in the history of the pattern. 2019 sure was an amazing year for the Lambsfoot  Have a great day Guardians

Charlie Lamb looking good as ever. 🤠

A while ago I put in a special order for two Bespoke lambs from Ashley Harrison for Harvey and myself. Harvey wanted a white bone and I’m getting a bog oak. I asked the shop to finish both and I’ll offer the one Harvey wanted here and donate the proceeds to PAWs his favorite charity. Hopefully they will look something similar to these.

I just saw the news of Harvey's passing, I'll miss his beautiful photos, super nice guy! We had several transactions on the exchange, all lambsfoot, he loved his old ones as well as I do. Here's one in your honor, Harvey. May you rest in peace.

Incredible lamb Rob and smashing image.
, I found this wee cake fork
Super cool image Jack and I love that old warhorse of a lamb.
I thought these two together would make a nice pic. I couldn’t stop myself from putting a patina on the 1095.

That Keown has to be in the running for the most beautiful lamb ever.
Looks like a great day Jack. I’m still enjoying some time off, fortunately. I did go through more than two hundred emails this morning however. That will make for a more pleasant return to work next week.

I have a new lamb in the flock. This Rogers. It’s smaller than the standard size lamb. I thought the horn looked mighty fine.

Everyone have a safe, fun Friday.

Very cool Pete and gorgeous horn.
My Old Stag Lamb came in handy clearing some brambles out of the way.
Love this image and the colors Steve.

A most thoughtful and wonderful gesture Dan.

Have a good one all. Enjoying some delicious Texas bourbon this evening... a fine gift from Pete. Thank you my friend.
