Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Your lamb is definitely not a disappointment in the looks department.
What a feast to be relished Jack. Glad there was one positive to your day.
Thanks Bob, definitely not, I think GEC did a superb job of the jigging :) I was mainly disappointed in having misled folks here, by posting a pic of the wrong knife  ;)

I picked up this old pamphlet at the vintage fair, priced several times more than it would have cost me at the regular market

That's not me on the front waving my stick by the way, it's Blind Jack Metcalf of Knaresborough :D

Good morning !

Just got back from the dog park and it's a lovely morning. Along the fence line at the dog park there are wild blackberries. You can graze on the them as you walk. Unfortunately most are on the other side of the fence out of reach. Well I decided it was worth it to climb over the fence and do some berry collecting. My Old Stag Lamb came in handy clearing some brambles out of the way. 👍

Cassie wasn't too happy about being left on the other side but quickly got over it when I started feeding her berries through the fence. 😁

Happy Saturday Guardians !
Good for you Steve :) Barely anyone seems to pick them here, but they'll pay £2 for a tiny punnet in the supermarket! I am looking forward to the blackberries coming out here, in a few weeks :) It's always great to see that vintage Lamb

Thanks Jack, same here people walk right past them without a thought o_O

They look very impressive Kurt, nice pic

It's been a sad week :( Nice post Rob, hard to imagine a more beautiful example of the pattern than that TEW. Captured perfectly :)

Sorry to hear you had more sad news Vince :( A thoughtful gesture there my friend

Good morning Guardians, what a week, with the loss of of our dear brother Harvey :( It's been nice to see so many folks calling in to share their thoughts, and pay their respects  Despite the sadness, I hope everyone is doing OK, and that you have something to look forward to at the weekend :) rockman0 rockman0 Rob kindly gifted me this lovely old Alfred Blackwell Lamb a few years back, and I had already decided I'd carry it today. Great to see you call in though Rob, I hope you'll be back soon. Seeing @mitch4ging here has been quite a treat too  Have a good day Guardians, and enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot knives :)

Jack, it's good to see the Blackwell and I'm glad you still drop it in your pocket occasionally
I get frustrated trying to capture a good image of my knives with my phone which leads to low participation on BF. I need to buy a user friendly camera that doesn't require much adjustment to get a decent image. There's just so many options I don't know a good value when I see it. If anyone has a good suggestion I'm all ears. 20211006_091024.jpg

Couple beauties. That Thomas Turner Encore really trips my trigger. 🤠

So weird isn't it? It's not, as if, like fungi, they're hard to identify or anything?! I was once walking through my back garden with a lad in his 20's, and I asked him if he wanted a blackberry. In a surprised voice, he said, "Can you eat them?"!! 🤯

Definitely Rob, it's one of my favourite vintage Lambs, and I always enjoy carrying it :) Those two are exquisite my friend, and as Steve says, there's certainly nothing wrong with this pic  Sorry to hear you're frustrated with the camera on your phone, I rarely use the camera on mine. I've never noticed anything lacking in your photography skills :) I'm sure one of our master photographers can give you better answers, but I still take most of my photos on a Canon SX620 HS, which must be 10 years old now, maybe more. It is pocket-sized, has a built in zoom, and while it has a bunch of settings, I basically use it as a point and shoot camera :D I carry it everywhere, which is why it gets used so much (though I do get better results with my newer Canon :) Admittedly, my standards are low

What is going on today Guardians, now Rob is disappointed with his photography?! I was going to make some roast potatoes to go with my chicken and mushroom pie, but the potatoes I bought 2 days ago are sprouting all over the place! What happened to the days when a sack of spuds would keep all winter?! 🧐 I thought some sweet potato fries and onion rings might, at least, allow me to taste out the hot sauce I bought yesterday, but I'm sure the sample I tasted in the shop was a good deal hotter

Some turkeys came by yesterday while I was raccoon fingering my knife. I learned another useful skill. I can balance my ipad on my gut and get the knife in focus and then tilt the ipad just so to get the turkeys in focus. Amazing what you can do with such a knife.
