Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thank you for the wonderful photos Barrett, it looks like you all had a great day :)

Thanks Jack!

I suspect that was a better haircut than any Brian has given out recently! 🤣

I guess we’d really need to get the Pope in as an impartial judge. 🤣

A few doors down is Dave's Pies & Ale, which I visited last week, and this was our next destination. I suspect the pie part of the name might have been a way of getting a drinks license, because the selection is very small, and rather disappointing, and on this occasion, Dave had done a lousy job of baking his pies, which were not properly cooked underneath. I got the lass behind the bar to stick mine in the oven for 10 minutes, but was very unimpressed :(

I really enjoyed all your pub crawl pics, Jack. Sorry to hear about the pies at Dave’s. Guess he won’t be going on the Great British Bake Off any time soon, then? They won’t stand for a soggy bottom. 😉

Good Morning Guardians, hope you're all doing well.
Just popping in to check out all the beautiful Lambsfoot photography.
The past few months I've been carrying nothing but Lambsfoot and Sodbuster knives.
The rest of my collection is just collecting dust on the shelves. Guess I like the traditional working patterns most.

Good to see you here, John.

We’re starting to get settled here in Idaho. In the midst of moving I did manage to get a Father’s Day gift ordered—something very special this year. It didn’t arrive until today because I had to squeeze into a busy schedule, but I’m happy to say I’ve got my first Rhidian and it is a gorgeous lambsfoot with incredible jigging. Check it out:

Holy cow, that thing is awesome! 😎

Wholesome and Heart warming post Barrett ! :)

Thanks, Duncan. 🙂

Well it isn’t our favorite Mexican restaurant but we didn’t have to drive 45 minutes either, and being locals we get an extra shot of tequila in our margaritas! 🤣👍View attachment 2242251

Can’t argue with that, Todd! 😁

Fantastic jigging there, Joshua.
Thanks!
Thanks Jack!

Joshua, that is a beauty. Very much worth the wait. I think heirloom fits here.

Wow, Joshua, that jigging is incredible! o_O Congratulations, really beautiful knife  Is that Rhidian Rhidian 's first Lambsfoot (I can't keep up!)? :)
An amazing knife it is, Jack.
Thankyou my friend :)
That building has been through the ringer!!!!! Shame that it turned out to be office buildings.
Yes Paul, I never went inside, but judging from the photos I've seen online, it looked incredible. I remember admiring it, from just across the road, when the previous renovation had been completed. That was before we saw the smoke!
I feel a little tipsy following along 😆 🤣 😂. Looks like you had a great time !!!!
LOL! :D Yeah, it was fun mate :)
Congrats on the new lamb, Jack.
Thanks Paul, I'm stoked :)
Thanks, Duncan. I am happy to be one of the lucky ones that gets to own one. I wish there were thousands of them for people to enjoy.
Me too :(
Thanks! Yes, changes are stressful, and this was our first time selling a house we owned to move and buy another. Bittersweet to leave something you’ve put a lot into and have to find something else.
I once read that, in terms of stress, moving house was next only to losing a close relative  I don't know if that's true, but it sounds believable. I hope you're very happy in your new home Joshua
I have enjoyed seeing the K’roo lambs guys, WaBoom, Calamity and Mable and Gus’s fine pair of blue bone and Uncle K’s as well. Here is 🩸in solidarity….

Always a treat Pete  :)

All this talk of Willem’s knives led me to reach out and ask him to build me a lamb to carry as well. Here is the end result that showed up at the house today (built the slip to carry it in while he was making the knife).

Congratulations Jeremy, that's a stunner  Nice work on the slip too :) What a week this is! :D
Here are the two together.View attachment 2242237

Sounds good to me Todd! :D Great shot :)
Sounds alot like what you had....hope it clears up in a couple of days. Thanks Jack!
I hope you're on the mend Dennis, once it was diagnosed, and I started taking medication for it, I started to improve, but it lingered on for a few weeks. I was at home one night, and a friend rang to see if I wanted to go on a camping trip the following day. I went to bed excited, but then started to feel terrible nausea. I thought I had food poisoning, and had to crawl to the bathroom on my hands and knees. The nausea lasted until I took the medication, but I was never actually sick. My vision was spinning so fast that I couldn't see. Fortunately, I had my girlfriend on speed-dial, and when I was still ill the next morning, I managed to phone her. She came over, and called the doctor. When he came out, he quickly diagnosed it. It took two or three weeks for the symptoms to subside, and for at least the first week, I couldn't eat, or even read, in fact in the first few days, I was completely helpless. Not only did I have to cancel the camping trip, but a boating holiday too. Hope you don't have it as bad as that Dennis, and that you are soon better
Fantastic!!
An extremely generous gift Rufus1949 Rufus1949 to another generous man Jack Black Jack Black !👌👍 True generosity knows no boundaries!

Thank you kindly :) I love your Malloryesque photo my friend

LOL! Special-Needs Scott is the latest victim! :D Scott's dullard mantra used to be, "Well, he's never messed my hair up." Now, it's "Well, he's never done it before." 🤣

Thanks Barrett :) Definitely not! :D He only does 2 pies, how hard can it be, just to bake them right?! Dave is a nice guy, but he's had a series of businesses, which have gone down the pan. They included a bar, where everyone seemed to eat and drink for free, and the staff were always drunk! One of the funniest things that happened was when, one of the staff, who was a very large man, climbed into the ancient 'dumb-waiter', which they used to bring food down to the bar, from the kitchen 2 floors up. As the other drunken staff members were hauling him up, he got stuck between floors, and the only way they could get him out was to smash through the wall with a sledge-hammer, completely destroying the 'dumb-waiter'! After that, the staff had to run up and down 2 precipitous flights of stairs every time someone ordered food 🤣

A pie joint gets one chance with me. If they were rubbish the first time, odds on they'll be rubbish the second time. :)
Yeah, I wouldn't bother going there again Leon, I'd rather have another pint in The Cardigan Arms! :D
Gotta find me a "pie joint"!
🤣
I can recommend this one. Might be a bit far though. 😍😍😍.

Looks good though! 🤣
Hope you have a good day at the market Jack. Tell Tool Man and the Teds howdy.
Thanks David :) I did, and I told him about Joey Chestnut, and about the Spam anniversary :D

Well at least it's in the back where he won't be reminded of it daily.😃

It was good Jack, but really don't like eating late. Some calamari, spinach/ feta stuffed mushrooms and very good mozzarella sticks as a appetize

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I only had a couple of hours sleep last night, so I am pretty exhausted after being down the market all day. I've just had half an hour on the sofa ;) It was fairly quiet on the market, but Tool Man still took a bit of brass, and the weather was better than the forecast :) We didn't have many visitors, but Ray baked 3 types of bread, and bought some fresh butter, and we had several different types of cake, and some scones. Tool Man substituted several pork pies for his morning belly buster, and I had a Cornish pasty for lunch. The market attracted it's usual range of characters for us to chuckle at :D They included a man who was having a full-on fight with a suitcase! o_O🤣 No pics unfortunately! :(

Hell on Wheels!

I couldn't get a clear shot of The Oldest Swinger in Town, as I was talking to Nobber Al at the time! :D I guess not everyone has iPods! 🤣

I had a walk over to see what was happening with the buildings at the bottom of the Kirkgate. At least one is badly damaged, but I guess they must still be structurally sound. Someone has already been arrested for arson 🔥 I used to go to the barbers there, many years ago, we used to call the feller, 'The Rude Barber', because he was!
