Congrats Mitch 13!
We talk about Lambsfoot knives here, not the BUYING of Lambsfoot knives.I'm not sure where I'm violating the rules. I get the not buying part though. I would like to know who are the better respected makers so I can get a Lambsfoot I am proud to show off in this thread.
I would like to find other sources besides the one I listed to contact and see about making me a knife so I can make a more informed choice.
If the source of my bad knife is what you are referring to, I just don't want to see someone else like myself make the same mistake. If that is a violation of the rules I missed, I can delete it though I don't believe that would be in the best interests of this thread since we all want to promote the 'good' Lambsfoot options!
Googling for a UK or EU maker so far only has brought the one knifemaker I mentioned to my attention. I really want a Lambsfoot knife I can be proud of and to get that in the USA, it would appear that I need to work with a knifemaker in the UK or nearby. Surely there is more than one knifemaker to choose from or, perhaps COVID has affected those making this overlooked pattern.
If you would like to enquire about a particular knife you see here, please PM the member who owns it. It's up to them if they want to reply to you. If you feel you have had a bad experience with a particular dealer, the best place to post about it is here . You might want to read the post I linked to, and perhaps have a look in the Thread Index, which is linked to there, which discusses many knife manufacturer's Lambsfoot knives (though not their prices). However, you're more likely to get help from people if you treat this thread with respect. The interests of this thread have, I think, been well served over the past 7 years, which is, arguably, one of the reasons it is still here, and flourishing. Good luck in finding a Lambsfoot knife you are happy with.We want the forum to focus upon the discussion of traditional knives...not the purchasing process, prices nor vendors and their websites.
