It is not causing any problems per se. The eruption is in the middle of a peninsula, pretty far from any settlement. Gas pollution is or can be a concern though and in the days leading up the eruption we had a looot of earthquakes, 8000 in the last day alone. The largest (4 and 5 on the Richter) could be felt here in Reykjavik, a few even made house shake and knocked things down from shelves.

A pleasure Jer :) I haven't been doing as many giveaways as I usually do, this year, mainly because I no longer have ready access to Lambsfoot knives :rolleyes: Not long until Yorkshire Day now though :) :thumbsup:

No apology necessary Dan :) I think it's one thing to ask for someone's impressions of a knife, in terms of its fit and finish, and to mention you have one on order, nothing wrong with that I don't think, and quite another to start quoting prices, and soliciting a discussion on that basis. Thankfully, that post was quickly cleaned up, and I am grateful for that, and for the forbearance shown here :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for the kind comments in the giveaway thread, I'm glad we will have a new Guardian joining our ranks :) I slept terribly last night, but my back feels a little better. What I need to do is make sure that, since I need to stay in today, I don't sit in my office chair all day :rolleyes: Have a good day Guardians :) :thumbsup:

I'm expecting a load of deliveries today, all being delivered by the same courier firm. They have a tracking app, so I could see that the driver was close, and thought I'd go out to give him a hand. For some reason, the young guy, in his early-mid 20's I guess, parked about a hundred yards down the road. I walked down, and told him who I was, and he started to go through the boxes and parcels inside, picking out about ten. He passed me a large computer monitor to carry, and I set off back to my house. I could hear him walking about 2 feet behind me. When I got back to my front door, he handed me a small envelope containing some ear-buds. When I asked where the rest of it was, he said that was all there was, and that they must be sending another driver with all the other stuff. I couldn't believe he'd let me the heaviest item, and just walked behind me, the lazy sod! :rolleyes: Needless to say, I'll be waiting for the other driver to ring the door-bell 🫤

Looking forward to Cake Day tomorrow! :D :thumbsup:
