I guess this means a trip to Charlie's Jack, on the way to the druggist?
It turned out to be a trip to Charlie's AFTER Bob, as my pal Matt down the road suggested having an early lunch there
I would gather myself some Henderson's, but could not appreciate it. If I had my sense of taste, it sounds like something I would enjoy. This is what I tend to put on everything, especially "chips".

May summer return for your out of door treks.
Sorry to hear that Bob, but that Balsamic looks really good

I always think I should do more with Balsamic
We may have had fluffernutters at one time when I was a kid. I seem to remember marshmallow creme for spreading on toast, but Mom wouldn't have stood for that much sugar for long.
Fluffernutters is a good name!

I can remember my mother feeding me a teaspoon of butter dipped in sugar!

War-time rationing messed up that whole generation!

Good to see High Spade Jer
I think these citronella plants attract the misqutos.!!

Really?!

You'll have to get some DEET plants Bob

Cool pic of your Hartshead Barlow buddy, nice stag on that one
Cheaper than Lea and Perrin's Worcester sauce from the same site!
Really? That's in a much smaller bottle too
I love peanut butter, bananas, spam and marshmallow fluff......separately but none of them together! Haha.
I was getting worried there Rick!
My kid is a skinny thing but somehow her diet consists of mostly fries. I showed her the chip butty and I think we're gonna have to be making them at home soon! Haha
That'll be fun

When I was a kid, my diet consisted mostly of cigarettes!

Never sure how I grew
With all of ya talking about this Henderson's stuff, I think I'll give it a shot! I'm sure Amazon will have some... You can order pretty much anything there!
Hope you like it

I should warn you that while there are spices in it, it would only have been considered 'spicy' in Victorian England
Cut up tomatoes, basil and mozzarella (maybe a pepper or two). Give it a little olive oil and then dump balsamic in there. Awesome salad. Especially the next day!

I usually put hot sauce on chips (American style chips) but will definitely try this!
I gave Tool Man a bottle when I first knew him, and he loves it. He was telling his daughter all about it, and she said, "What do you that black stuff is, that me and my friends pour all over our chips, when we go to the speedway (in Sheffield) every week?!"
Thanks Jack. I am doing well. I hope you are doing better than good my friend.
It's almost time for me to go to work so I better guzzle down some coffee and throw Betty in my pocket .
Thanks a lot buddy, I'm doing OK, for the first time in months, my back actually feels a bit better

It's great to see Betty, I hope your day is going well
Haha! I said it's probably the closest thing sold here, but I agree it is an inferior substitute.
I'm glad we can still be friends!
I've been told to reduce my sodium intake (and sugar...and carbohydrates...and saturated fats...kinda running out of foods to eat) so I've been discovering all kinds of vinegars. It's a pretty good substitute for salt on top of a lot of foods.
Apart from Tony Chachere's Louisiana Seasoning, which Jer introduced me to, and which I use occasionally, and sparingly, I haven't used salt for decades. Sounds interesting about the vinegars Rachel

Great photo
Thanks Jack!
All this whataburger spicey ketchup discussion got me hungry. Enablers!

LOL!

Looks tasty Pete
I've just been trying some new smoked sriracha on some spring rolls, but the pic I took was either out of focus, or there was steam on the lens!
Hope everyone is having a good day. I was about to leave to go to the docs, when my mate Matt rang me to see if I fancied a Thai lunch in town, and a trip to the movies to see
Oppenheimer . I had a few things to do, but some of them could be put off, so I agreed, and told Matt to find out what time the movie was on. Unfortunately, as it is 3 hours long, there weren't many screenings, so we didn't have time for Thai, but agreed to meet at Charlie's instead.
I had gone into the doctors yesterday, because someone had made a mistake with my prescription, but to cut a long story short, I then found another mistake. When the doctor had changed the prescription, he'd removed the history, but fortunately I had a physical copy of my previous prescription. It took longer at the doctors than I had expected, because I had to explain the tale 3 times, and it could be that I have to go in yet again

I hurried down to Charlie's though, and me and Matt sat out on the pavement, and had an early lunch.
My DAB radio had developed a fault, so I had boxed it up to return it to the store. It was still covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but I had also paid for an extended "No Quibble" warranty, which supposedly meant I could return the radio at any time, and any number of times. On the way to the cinema, I called in the store, with the radio in its original box, and asked if I could exchange it. The shop assistant told me that she was afraid they no longer stocked that model, but I noticed they still had it on display, which seemed odd if it was no longer stocked. I drew her attention to this, and she said it must have been left there by mistake. So I offered to take the display model. The assistant said she couldn't disconnect it from the wire it was attached to, so I did that for her, which was surprisingly simple, but she then said she didn't have a cable to test it. Fortunately, I had brought the power cable back with the radio. I was told she'd have to get her manager's permission, so she disappeared for 10 minutes, and then started filling in a form on the computer. Twenty minutes later, I had run out of time, so said I'd pick up the radio after I'd been to the cinema.
I went off with Matt, and we got there a few minutes before the movie started. It was a bit long at 3 hours, but a good film, and richly cast. Matt had taken his car to the garage for some work, and had to pick it up on the way home, so we decided to have coffee and cake before that. First, I just had to pick up my radio. "It'll only take a minute", I told my friend.
"Ah, you tell yourself that", he replied portentously. I laughed!
Back in the store, I told the man behind the counter, I had come to pick up my radio. I could see it on the side, though it had not been put back in the box that I had left. The original assistant came over with it, and said she couldn't get it in the box, for some reason. I said I'd do it, but noticed that the instruction booklet, and the cloth bag for the radio were no longer there. I asked them where they were, and she denied seeing them. I asked if she could have a look, as they had been there before, but she seemed very uninterested, as did her colleagues. Eventually I'd had enough, and asked to speak to the manager. She went off to get him, walking across the store at a snail's pace, and then going off upstairs, By the time I returned, I was becoming infuriated. Fortunately, the manager, at least, was not a smart Alec. I started again, telling him that I had brought in the radio earlier, and had been told it was no longer available. He had a look at the computer screen, and told me that the radio had been discontinued. I asked him if that happened often, and he said it did. I asked him how often, and he told me, at least every year, if not every six months. So, I said, "If that's the case, why, when I bought this radio, did you sell me an extended 3 year warranty, and tell me that I could return it for exchange anytime during that period?" He said he would have another look if there was one in stock, but this time, he looked on his phone. As he was quickly scrolling down the page, I spotted my radio, and pointed it out. He kept on scrolling telling me he thought that was a different model, but I insisted he looked again. What a surprise, they did have it in stock after all!

They didn't surrender with good grace though, telling me that their deliveries came every Wednesday, and since it was too late to order today, I wouldn't get the radio until next week, but I said I'd wait. No wonder there's barely anything left of the high street here!
