Yes, just found it. This was with an ettrick by the same cutler ( C+X Lockwood Brothers)that I found at goodwill store. Is that a new one Bob?![]()
Good afternoon Guardians. Very pleased to finally be making an appearance in this thread after many years of lurking. Try as I might I can't quite get through all 4134 pages! What I've found out though over the years about the pattern though has been fascinating and it's been wonderful to read all of your contributions.
This is one of two lambsfoot knives I own, both from from A Wright, the other being a big'un in rosewood with a bit questionable in F&F and a blade that isn't even close to straight (purchased in 2010 when they were going through a bit of a funny period).
I love this ebony though, it's pretty much perfect.
No gaps, centered blade, feels lovely in the hand.

Thanks buddy, once they found out there wasn't a bone broken, which I never thought there was, they just shrugged it off as a 'soft tissue injury'. Yeah, no s#@£ Sherlock!
LOL!Really nice young doctor, but not really that much help
I'm glad that my clavicle is ONLY dislocated at one end though!

From the little search I did, they were part of Joseph Elliot & Sons in 1953.

Yeah, and I consider myself lucky not to still be there, and have my own pain relief! Thanks Jack, sounds like you got the usual service at the docs![]()

Good for youLol...found at a second hand clothing store, while donating.
Thank you for more informative treasures Jack.Great findJoseph Elliot & Sons acquired the Lockwood Brothers marks, and made knives under both names
You'll find the Elliot factory, and what is left of the old Lockwood one, in my Sheffield Factories thread
Good for you![]()
A few weeks ago, on Yorkshire Day, I called in a place called Pieminister. While expensive, their pies are very good, but their Leeds restaurant is a dump, frankly, and the service is always poor. A good reason not to go back
![]()
While shopping online for some groceries the other night, I spotted that they had Pieminister pies "on offer" at 2 for £9, but there was only one variety, a vegetarian pie named 'Kevin'I've had this pie before though, and enjoyed it, so I put a couple in my basket. I was going to have one tonight, with some roast potatoes, but I'm not up to scrubbing spuds right now
I managed to rustle something up though
Darn tasty pie for sure, and also very filling

Unlike at the restaurant, there was Henderson's Relish on hand, and nobody dribbled gravy down my trouser leg![]()

Perhaps food critic as second vocation? You seem to find some interesting cuisine.

Interesting true story about a whaler being sunk by a whale. An inspiration for Moby Dick, I believe. Looking forward to reading it.
Dang Jack. That is a bummer. I hope you begin feeling better quickly.Good morning Guardians, sorry, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to go to the hospital. Nothing life-threatening, just one of those annoying things life throws at us from time to time. Thanks for the kind words. I'll catch up later![]()
