That Albers LF knife is really something!I'd say the sun is over the yardarm, but I can't remember the last time I saw the sun!

Your spellcheck missed this, Rachel. You meant "y'all", right?

Yup!I think its Texas for "youins" which is the Tennessee spelling![]()
I don't know how it's spelled, but my relatives from Squirrel Hill said "Yoons" (vowel sound like in book)I don't know, looks like it was a "Yinz" or "youz" to me.....![]()
Thanks!What a beauty !
That's because the sun is spending all its time in Texas this summer (100 degrees at 8pm last night) I'd gladly trade you for just a little bit of rain.I'd say the sun is over the yardarm, but I can't remember the last time I saw the sun!

Newest addition to the flock. Whiskey Barrel Oak handles. The pull is very robust 8-9. Not quite a nail breaker.View attachment 2298811
Thanks! My first lamb with oak handles.Very nice Dan !
The oak should age nicely Dan, like a fine bourbon. Very nice.Newest addition to the flock. Whiskey Barrel Oak handles. The pull is very robust 8-9. Not quite a nail breaker.View attachment 2298811

Thank you Jer.

That is just crazy Rachel! You've definitely had more than your fair share this year!
I don't think there's a cocktail combining Sicilian lemonade, white rum, and lime, but it is indeed refreshing! Cheers
Nice Mike
With my usual impeccable timing, I had a freak injury this afternoon, pulling out a can of red kidney beans, from an awkward spot underneath a couple of slabs of canned tomatoes. I dislocated the inner end of my clavicle some years back, and it's my collar bone and shoulder that are hurting. I thought a hot bath might help, but it was very painful to get out. Hoping it'll be ok tomorrow, otherwise I might have to go to the hospital, and a Bank Holiday Weekend is really not a time to visit a British hospital!![]()
Thank you Jack. Nice Unity you have! The tang stamp on mine doesnt have England in it so I'm assuming it was made before 1890-91.Lovely old knife DavidThat's quite a blade stamp isn't it? I'd say it's quite a bit older than my own

Beautiful Albers Lamb!Good morning Guardians, we've almost made it through another week!I never seem to have enough time these days though!
The weather is pretty miserable here again, and it's feeling a little cold. Hoping we get at least one good day for the carnival weekend here. All the roads are closed on Sunday and Monday (a holiday here), so I can't go anywhere else anyway!
I'm hoping to catch up with Wolfie at some point, and my mate Matt, who lives close by, but I usually bump into lots of old friends over the weekend. The local cafes and businesses make a lot of cash over the weekend, but to some extent, that depends upon the weather, so I hope they do OK. I'll be calling in at Charlie's today to ensure they have everything ready!
Have a good day Guardians
I'm carrying my lovely Albers Lamb
