I will thank thee not to make sport of us.There are folks who still say thee and thine here!![]()
Sorry to hear that, Jack. It seemeth we get hurt easier at our age. Hope thou art better tomorrow. With my usual impeccable timing, I had a freak injury this afternoon, pulling out a can of red kidney beans, from an awkward spot underneath a couple of slabs of canned tomatoes. I dislocated the inner end of my clavicle some years back, and it's my collar bone and shoulder that are hurting. I thought a hot bath might help, but it was very painful to get out. Hoping it'll be ok tomorrow, otherwise I might have to go to the hospital, and a Bank Holiday Weekend is really not a time to visit a British hospital!![]()
Vince, looks like a great read. I’ll probably have to down load a copy. The reviews are excellent! Thanks!Hey, look what my wife bought me:

Interesting true story about a whaler being sunk by a whale. An inspiration for Moby Dick, I believe. Looking forward to reading it.
You're welcome, Dan. I've read Moby Dick multiple times--fascinating book. Just poured me the last of my Father's Day Ardbeg Corryvreckan to start the book with. May have to get some rum!Vince, looks like a great read. I’ll probably have to down load a copy. The reviews are excellent! Thanks!

Thank you DavidThank you Jack. Nice Unity you have! The tang stamp on mine doesnt have England in it so I'm assuming it was made before 1890-91.

Let's hope they don't bugger it up anymore than it tiz. After checking online, I got a taxi to St James Hospital in Leeds, known as 'Jimmy's'. They booked me in, but said I'd have to go to the Minor Injuries Unit at Leeds General Infirmary, the last open in the city. I ordered another taxi, but it was sent to the wrong wing, so I ended up having to walk there, to catch up with the taxi. On arrival at the LGI, I was told that the MIU doesn't open until 9am, so me and Wee Staggy have a 25 minute wait

Thanks Bob, I did make a point of telling them that the last time I was at that hospital, they misdiagnosed a broken tendon, which caused me to have a slightly disabled left hand! Thankfully, no broken bones or further dislocations, but of course the X-rays don't show soft tissue injuries, which is what it was diagnosed as. I think I might have to hang up my limbo shorts, and get drunk!Let's hope they don't bugger it up anymore than it tiz.
One must not lose the ability to limbo!!!View attachment 2299394

Yeah, back in the 90"s, I once had to wait for 12 hours in a London hospital, after breaking a couple of ribs. That was just to get a brief examinationAt least you were first in line.

Thanks buddy, once they found out there wasn't a bone broken, which I never thought there was, they just shrugged it off as a 'soft tissue injury'. Yeah, no s#@£ Sherlock!Coffee and Senator Rose.
Jack; Whatever it is I hope they take care of you at the clinic
