You really do live in a beautiful part of the world Dave :) I could put up with slow Lambsfoot delivery times for that view! ;)

Monstrous Monday with far too much needing to be done!
Starting a new 46-week rotation schedule today, and just to keep things simple and alphabetical in the Lambsfoot category, I'm sticking with the Black Jack again, the 2018 ebony Guardians lambsfoot that I also carried all of last week. Here's a quick 6-month retrospective.

Thanks for sharing those great pics of your Black Jack taking on its patina and character GT :) You've definitely made it yours my friend :)

Looking good Joshua

Yeah, its pretty easy John, other than knowing what day it its, so we don't miss out on the seniors 15% off Tuesday's at the grocery store. :p

Wow! It really is Elysium! :D

Mornin' Guardians!
Jack, Dave, thanks but it is hard to take a bad photo of such a photogenic Lambsfoot. ;):D

Have a glorious day, everyone!

You too Kevin :)

Now that everyone has their Lambsfoot knives at last (I know you have another yet to come dc50 dc50 ;) ), I am deleting the scores of pics I took of everyone's knives, and of every stage of the packaging, just in case any went missing! Thankfully, once again, they all made it :)

Jack, I can't thank you enough for all the hard work you do, so we fellers have a tip-top lambsfoot. Whether its stag, horn rosewood or ebony it all takes a full commitment from you.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks Dave, that's very kind of you :) I must say, I don't enjoy all the stress of dealing with the postal service, I wish you could all come round to my house, and we could just share them out :) Then go out for a celebratory beer! :D

A week ago, I was standing on my street, which is a broad avenue, lined with mature old trees of many different types. The colours looked particularly lovely that day, and I wished that I had my camera with me to take a pic. What a difference a week has made, while many of the trees still have green leaves, many others are almost reduced to bare winter skeletons, with piles of leaves all over the ground. The colours are still nice, but I wish more of the trees could have kept their leaves just a little longer :)

What an outstanding job you've done, Jack! We are all very grateful, and I am spreading the word about this wonderful pattern on this side of the pond.

Oh to live there.... Most of my life I've lived in flat places. Where I live now is flat. Like the Netherlands...but flatter... :(
A spectacular view
Been a busy few days but thought I'd start getting my winter walking kit together.

David the positive for flat is I could ride my fancy bicycle everywhere, the wife bought for my birthday. I don't mind going down the mountain, it's climbing back up that's the problem.:p

I am not fond of flat myself David. When I first moved to Leeds 16 years ago, I thought it was flat, but it seems to have got hillier as I've got older  I am quite looking forward to the promised lower temperatures, and looking forward to getting out myself. I received a couple of boxes of Dragon Fuel in the post today, not the first I've bought, but I am still yet to try it out. I like the look of that windshield, is it titanium?

LOL Dave! Yip as a cyclist myself I can see the benefits of flatness. I can cycle 60+ (flat) miles in a day easily but put even a moderately small hill in front of me and I'm defeated. If I lived somewhere like that I'd be used to it. I lived in Hobart in Tasmania for a short while but sadly not long enough to find my hill legs. :(:( I hope that fancy birthday bike is fitted with a fancy gearing set up adequate to get you up them thar hills :D

Ahhh...I've a mate in Sheffield who feels the same way. They say everything's either at the top of a hill or at the bottom a hill :D
The Dragon Fuel was a disappointment. It burned intensely for 3-4 minutes then burned out. Water was hot but not boiling. There advertised for ~8mins and to burn clean. This left a thick residue over the hexi stove. I tried two of them with the same results. I've never used them before but as I've been looking at different lightweight cooking options I thought I'd give them a try for this winter.

Oh and it's an Alpkit aluminium windshield. I first used it last winter and can recommend it. It really did make a great deal of difference when using the hexi stove. (Usual disclaimer folks).

I've heard rumours of snow in northern England this weekend. Unfortunately I'm working all weekend but I'm sure there'll be more :)
