Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Now that's a really nice looking bike! Not seen anything on sale like that in the UK. Over here all e-bikes I've seen look like really wierd elongated delivery bikes. But a question; are E-bikes over in the US and Canada speed restricted?
David, I did a quick look-see for Canada's restrictions: :)
Since 2000, Canada's Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations (MVSR) have defined Power Assisted bicycles (PABs) as a separate category, and which require no license to operate. PABs are currently defined as a two- or three-wheeled bicycle equipped with handlebars and operable pedals, an attached electric motor of 500W or less, and a maximum speed capability of 32 km/h or 20mph from the motor over level ground.

Ahhh yeah!! That would be the Blake Hotel? Never been but I understand it's a cracking boozer. I believe it's possibly on a list a couple of mates have drawn up for a pub crawl were going on in December. Just hope it's not icy...
Btw, she made a right rigmarole of getting up that hill. Not even I'm that bad...

The Dragon Fuel didn't smoke at all, but sort of bubbled away to leave a thick black crust. It lit easily enough using a Swedish firesteel and burned hot; it just didn't burn long enough to boil 400ml of water. I believe the army's latest issue stove comes with a small pan that these things fit into? However I actually use something similar, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I remember seeing pics of your Kelly Kettle a couple of years ago I think. Cracking pieces of kit aren't they. I've used a mates when we've been out working on a smallholding up in Yorkshire.
Sorry I forgot to put these links in yesterday. They also have a shop in Hathersage if your about that way.

I had friends who lived next door to the Blake. This was in the late 1980's, and I've not been in since. It was just a quiet, traditional pub then. It closed down for a while, but I think it's a bit trendy these days. Fortunately, you don't have to walk up Blake Street to get to it. Just walk down from Commonside (95 bus from the city centre). That whole area used to make for a fantastic pub crawl, but many of the old pubs are gone now :(

I was first attracted to the Kelly Kettle because of the engineering, and held off purchasing one for a number of years, even though I admired them, realising that one would see limited use with me. I do like it though, and I don't know anything that boils water as fast

Thanks for the links, I remember you saying you got your Ti mug in Hathersage

You can get the bikes over here apparently David, but they cost over £5,000. Not sure one would last long round my way

Nice Autumnal photo my friend :)

I watched a good YouTube review of the bike earlier. The speed can be limited by means of a fuse. One thing I did notice though Dave, the reviewer mentioned that because the battery can't be removed from the frame, it would be susceptible to damage by extreme temperatures while stored in a garage for example

Edit - Managed to find it again! :)

Watched the video, that is one cool bike.:thumbsup: I haven't priced one out yet, but based on what I see, it will be quite expensive.
We would need two of them yikes! When we were both working maybe then  oh well, the Town Bus is free for seniors :thumbsup:

Super cool rig. No doubt sticker shock will ensue. After the registration and tag I'd have to stop off at State Farm for collision and liability. :D

Great photo as always Dwight :thumbsup: Yeah my old Nissan Sentra that I was using for my beater vehicle, only cost $4.000. I drove it 10years. Plus no one would want to steal it which was also a saving. :p

From Jack? Cool!
We got a 15-year old too (Italian Greyhound). On his last legs, I'm afraid. [Sorry for the not-perfect grammar--late and drinking bourbon]. Suzee is one good-looking dog.

oh yeah, its a Jack lambsfoot for sure. Don't worry about your grammar with me, Most of if not all the Guardians have a high level
of writing skills. I was thinking about that this evening, my working years were spent as a Butcher and Bus driver other than writing orders and manifests. This is the most time I have ever spent writing anything, this is why my writing skills are poor.
All the best my friend, enjoy the bourbon:thumbsup::thumbsup::D

They are over £5,000 each over here, I could get one of these for half the price! :D

Also, I would worry that such a cool and expensive-looking bike would be targeted by professional criminals (as opposed to the usual opportunist low-life bike thieves), and there'd be kids wanting to sit on the thing, etc o_O An old friend of my dad's rode a Brough Superior motorcycle into his 80's, but in the end he couldn't park it up without people stealing parts as souvenirs! I also had a Triumph Tiger when I was young, but got fed up of being pulled over by motorcycle cops who wanted to talk about the bike, which they had been issued here, prior to its replacement by BMWs in the mid 70's

Could that be the source of your recurrent back problems? I think my hearing loss is probably attributable to loud music, like the bloody Who (Live at Leeds).

My back problems go back so long I couldn't even dance then! :D I think dancing may have helped my back a bit o_O Sorry to hear about your hearing loss, I think it's only by chance I have escaped myself

Great photo Rachel and beautiful knife. :)
I have enjoyed the pictures of family members. Looked up pics of a Italian Greyhound. Wow! Talk about a streamline canine! :D Our Willow (ever vigilant :D)IMG_20171004_152607.JPG

Ahhh thanks Dave, I was just curious as in the UK I believe E-bikes are limited to 13mph.

£5000!!:eek: I spent an interesting half hour last night perusing their website. California looks like the perfect place to own one of these :) They even have a distributor in London but I didn't look further as I'm not in the market for one. And unless I lived in the wilds of northern England or on a Scottish island there's no way I'd buy one anyway cos like you say Jack, anywhere else it would just get nicked, or just as likely just trashed whilst chained up.:rolleyes::thumbsdown:
Thanks for posting the vid  I to wondered about the battery, but aren't Li-Ion batteries quite resilient in the cold? Saying that, there's cold. And then there's winter in Canada.... :D

Not sure about the Blake then Jack, but plans have changed and it's now a trawl around Kelham Island.:thumbsup: I'm sure there'll be photos of them all in the Beers thread afterwards. I was in the Ship at Shalesmoor a couple of weeks back and that was also 'trendy'. (Hated it ).
