Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

What a fantastic night out Barrett, you must have been stoked to see the band  I can understand you being sceptical about Southern food transplanted to Minnesota :D Is it common to serve chicken on sliced bread like that, kind of reminds me of the Blues Brothers?! I'm glad it was good :) Looks like Julie was the designated driver! :D

(Might have to watch that movie later! :D)

Thanks, Jack. Serving fried chicken on white bread like that is something you usually see with Nashville hot chicken, which they also offer there. I love Nashville hot chicken and almost ordered it, but I figured I’d try their regular fried chicken to start with (plus we’d already had the Nashville hot fries).

Funny, I thought about The Blues Brothers, too. 😁 The options for ordering fried chicken there were a plate (1 piece white or 2 piece dark with a biscuit and slaw), 1/2 a chicken or a whole chicken. I don’t think Jake could afford four fried chickens and a Coke at this place, though. 🤣

What an amazing theatre! Love the neon!

It’s a cool place. It was built in 1916, originally as a vaudeville theater, then converted into a movie theater in the ‘20s. It closed in 1977, sat empty until 2016 and was nearly condemned, but the city invested in renovating it and it opened back up in 2016.

Oh no! That must have been terrible! 😦 I feel for you brother ☹️

Yeah, it was pretty disappointing. I still enjoyed the rest of the festival, but Old Crow was the reason I’d made the 10 hour drive.

They do a show every year on New Years Eve at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville that I’d love to go to some day. They’re heading your way soon. Their next three shows are in the UK (London, Glasgow and Manchester).

Looks like a fantastic night of food, music and adult beverages Barrett.👍🏻
What a fun night out !
Great post Barrett, looks like a lot of fun!
😎👍

Thanks, guys! We had a great time.

That's when you know the addiction is real... Embrace it! ;)

🤣🤣

Only another 284 days to go! 🤣 ;)

Why don’t they have advent calendars for counting down to Yorkshire Day? 😁

I hope everyone is having a great day :) I enjoyed watching the Blues Brothers , for what must have the 30th or 40th time! :D When I was a young feller, we would go round to a pal's after the pub. He had a VHS player, but only one movie! 🤣 I'd forgotten about the aerial views of Chicago, right at the start. Chicago must have changed a LOT since then

Such a great movie. 😎

Sunlight!
Ace shot of Rose Beast Jer
A good local favourite pizza joint is like a life long friend. When gone, not replaced. o_O My thought for the week. 😍😍😍
Word (as I think the yoot say)! I can't say I was their most regular customer, but I'd been eating there, or getting deliveries, for 21 years. I can't blame the owner for retiring, but it's a shame the business closed 😢 I don't know of another pizza place that comes close :( I guess I'm going to have to do some exploring, but at the moment, (and it's rare I order takeaway), if I want a pizza, I have absolutely no idea where to start :thumbsup:
Yorkshire Rose is a beauty!

Good evening Guardians. Hope everyone's weekend has gone good. Ethan is helping out today.

Thanks David, great pic of Ethan
That's the way to do it Mitch :)
Love that dark stag, Bob, Jack did you well!
Thanks Jeff

Thanks for the link Barrett, that's an interesting article  Sorry for my fascination with the presentation, but did the bread originally serve as a plate, to soak up the chicken juices, do you eat it, or just some of it maybe?

LOL! :D I enjoyed watching the film again. The DVD menu was kind of old fashioned, but it did have a documentary about making the movie, which looked like it had been put together to go with the second film. I hadn't realised that they were a genuine band, which pre-dated the movie. I used to like the first album as driving music :D

Fantastic  There are quite a few old theatres, and cinemas, in Leeds, and the surrounding area (though sadly, so many will have been demolished). The City Varieties was an old music hall, the interior is beautiful, but like a lot of these old places, I find the seats painfully small! :D Hyde Park Picture House has recently been refurbished (the Wiki page is out of date), and I've been told the seats are better, so I'll have to go over there at some point

Such a shame mate, and sadly not uncommon, in my experience :(

That looks like another amazing venue  I hope you can go one day :)

It's crazy! 🤷‍♂️ :D

Getting rid of shoe boxes this afternoon.

A Lambsfoot loves to work! :) Not often I can't find a use for a shoe box! :D With my size feet, I can fit plenty in them! 🤣 Got a couple of nice, sturdy Redback ones ;)

Good morning Guardians, How we all doing? :) Very Autumnal here, the sort of day when you want to pull your collar up, and your cap down. I might even have to bypass a flanno, and go straight for a Swanni! :D I'm hoping to get out at some point, but I have some work to do first, so I better get my lazy behind in gear 🫣 Have a good week Guardians :) Starting mine with some Waboom! :D

Very stylish Mitch :) It's a bit windy here for brimmed hats! :D Thanks buddy, they were out of croissants ;)
Nice and cozy photo Jack. 😎👍
Thanks Todd :) There's never a dull moment in Charlie's Cafe! :D Sara, one of the girls who works there, is half Italian, and half Moroccan/Dominican, and she has her mother over, so I discovered how rusty my Spanish is! :D Her mum has a hotel in the Dominican Republic, and offered me a 50% discount :D :)

I'm worried she has plans to marry me off to one of her friends! I heard her talking to her daughter, and my Spanish isn't that bad! :D ;)
Heartbreaking loss yesterday, but the fact is…our offense stinks right now. Starting to feel like old times. 🤣👍View attachment 2365255
