Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thank you for the kind offer Jack.
A pleasure Bob, if you're using properly spherical ammo, the bands last for ages :) I just came across this wee booklet while reorganising my book shelves, and thought it might be useful in post-apocalypse Jersey! :D When there was the discussion about accents Bob, I'd forgotten you lived in Jersey! :D Love that accent :) I'll put this slim volume in the mail with a couple of band sets :D PM me if I can include anything else ;)

A bit of Lambsfoot history Steve :) The first one I saw belonged to paulhilborn paulhilborn  I doubt many folks, who originally bought that knife, knew what they had :)
Happy Monday Guardians ! It's was a brisk 21° this morning but the sun is shining 👍

Starting the week with this one

It's sad.😟 I can buy everything except the slings and bb guns. Kids can't have any fun anymore.

You are more than generous Jack with your thoughtfulness. 👌
Thank you.

Thanks for the history !
A shame it was made in Japan, rather than the US, or it'd have been a real milestone

For sure! In pre-decimal times, a Half Crown was worth a quarter of that. When my brother was a toddler, he went to the post office with my mother, and stood on a 10 Shilling note (equivalent to the post-decimalisation 50p). It didn't belong to anyone, so my mother handed it in at the counter. They sent the note to the police, and 3 months later, as nobody had claimed it, my folks got it. It wasn't quite like winning the lottery, but it was still pretty noteworthy (excuse the pun) :)

That's good to know Mitch, TEW are a pretty professional outfit, compared to Wright's for example, and I imagine they outsource to a proper HT firm

It's the same with the Lansky isn't? That's pretty poor :( I know what you mean brother, sometimes old and simple are the best :) Talking of which, I just spoke to Tool Man! 🤣 🤣

I was telling him about my weekend. Yesterday, I was moving a lot of books and DVDs around, and it left me feeling pretty thirsty. I went to the fridge to get a bottle of water, and glugged down a third of the bottle, before realising it was actually some home-distilled Slivovitz, I'd been given by one of the Tool Stall regulars! 🤣

Thanks pal, it was a great gift, thank you for seeking it out for me :)

LOL! :D I once saw some of the UFO and Thunderbirds puppets and vehicles Jer. They were much bigger than I had realised, standard about 3ft high

Hope you've been practicing Bob! 🤣 Tell us more about that 'Prototype' stamp please  Great pic

Beautiful photo of that lovely old Lamb Dwight :)

It's been a pretty miserable day here, gloomy skies, and rain, throughout :( I called in at Charlie's, and then headed into town with multiple missions ;) Unfortunately, the Tunisian guy who runs the food stall in the market has not returned from his hols yet, so I had falafel from the Turkish bakery instead :)

I'm back at Grumble Towers now, and having what I think was described as a Biscoff Cheesecake Brownie with a nice cup of Yorkshire ;)

Jack,
The best way I can review a knife. Is would I have another or recommend it & the TEW Lambsfoot I would as it's also comfortable in the hand.
Yeah I think it's easy to get obsessed with the perfect edge & the next gizmo🙄

😳that bottle of water would have been a shock.

Bob
You are not alone, commercial slingshots are illegal here too. Kids can make a backyard job that's about it.

When I was about 11 years old we lived in California for a couple of years. One time we went to the beach I found a money clip buried in the sand. It had fifty dollars in it. 😮 My dad turned it in to the lifeguard station. A while later probably a month or so no one had claimed it and so I got to keep it. 👍

I bought a sweet skateboard with the new fancy sealed bearings and urethane wheels 😁 I still have a scar on my knee from that purchase 🤣

LOL! I'm not sure how I managed to drink so much of it without realising! :D

You can't win 'em all Steve :D Brilliant tale! :)

I've handed in 2 wallets, and returned a third to the owner, as his business card was inside. I didn't even get a thank you! The worst was when I found a new smartphone, and returned it to the guy's house. He took it off me, and closed the door in my face! He lived at the bottom of my street, and many years later, I was introduced to him by another neighbour at a local event. I told her, and everyone else there, how he'd behaved. He said he couldn't remember!

I've been at a meeting at church learning to edit our website. I didn't have enough confidence in my laptop to want to schlep it over, so I took notes and decorated the home page from my desktop when I got back. My colleagues will know I was there.

Though I used a lot of restraint.
