I had an indoor plinking session last night Bob, it probably doesn't do your form any good to use as many different slingshots as I do, but I enjoy trying different ones. I was using three last night including my Pocket Poacher Occularis, which I've not used in ages. It's so good, it almost feels like cheating, so I haven't used it in a while! The new aluminum sling that I received with this is amazing. I like the extra heft.
I used to put in a lot of hours when I was younger, but I think of myself as semi-retired these days, so it has been a bit of a shock!I don't know if I could delve into a project as you have lately Jack. We do what we must, but take care of yourself and save some energy for your holiday.

I used to put in a lot of hours when I was younger, but I think of myself as semi-retired these days, so it has been a bit of a shock!I do a bit of lay-out work for a printing company occasionally, and in this case, taking on a series of travel brochures, they were probably a bit out of their depth, and needed some help. I've done work for various tourist boards in the past, and basically it's the same kind of work, just more of it. I would certainly never complain about my work, compared to many folks, working in factories or boring offices, I've had a very easy work life. I should really concentrate on doing my own writing, but I've got a bit lazy in that regard, I'm afraid
My holiday is only a month away, and I do need to start doing some research, and planning. And just getting in that frame of mind, being as my mind is somewhere different entirely now

Okay, you can't post that pic with no context! Do you play clarinet? What gives, Jack?
Thanks BobI applaud your talents and fortitude Jack.
I believe I have a sling, such as yours, coming at Christmas.
Be well.
LOL!Okay, you can't post that pic with no context! Do you play clarinet? What gives, Jack?
I was wondering the same thing Jack! They are too small to aim easily Bob, when I tried out mine, there were balls shooting all over the place!
Impressive pics Daniel, I hope that things slow down for you
Stripey is a looker Steve, great pics![]()
Sounds unpleasant Paul, hope it's soon fixed buddyHulk Lamb is looking good
Wow, that must have been amazing Todd![]()

As a teenager, I used to fish for pike through the winter. It got me out of the house, so I could smoke!![]()
Maybe I was being unkind to the re-make Charlie, I don't remember that much about it reallyIt's certainly a scary premise
I preferred this movie...

It's crazy isn't it? I undid a jar last night, it had paper tied round with fancy string, a cap to remove, then plastic underneath the cap!Lambsfoot is the perfect tool
Good morning Guardians, no trip to the market today, so I'm going to get on with my work. My mate Wolfie said he might call round for a coffee, but he's notoriously unreliable, so I put the chances of that happening at less than 50%!![]()
Got my Albers Lamb in my pocket
Have a good day Guardians

Thank you Todd, I'm flattered!I was wondering the same thing Jack!Even if you don’t play, it’s a cool photo.

A very well done kroo Kurt.Good morning Guardians. I tried for an Albers on Monday. No luck. I think I need to use Apple Pay or Google. I’m using Pay Pal. I do enjoy the excitement of trying though. And I admire pictures of them from behind my ipad. Here’s my K’roo which I never tire of carrying. Got some good rain last evening.

Can you ever have too much Henderson's Jack? Thanks Steve, Musical Andy has some nice instrumentsI think he makes a reasonable living from selling them too
A pleasure Jeff![]()
Cool noggin there with your Barlow BobI have a small kuksa (and a larger one), what do you use that for, if you don't mind my asking?
I received this one today, an SFO for a UK dealer, of rather obvious provenanceI reckon I could even guess who did that edge
Blade is only a fraction off-centre, not really noticeable. Fit and finish are decent, apart from the edge. Pull is VERY strong

I don't know what is up with my internet connection this week, but I'm glad it's not essential to my workEven my phone signal is bad

Thank you, Jack.Looking very seasonal JohnYour Lamb looks nicely worn-in

Fix the edge on that knife and you've got a good one.
Here in Yorkshire, our philosophers and sages, have asked asked that question since the beginning of time, Grasshopper. You are wise beyond your years my friendCan you ever have too much Henderson's Jack?![]()
I remember now Bob, that's a nice use to put it toThis was a gift from Dwight@fodderwing, made by his wife. I use it to measure my ground coffee.
I'm not too bothered brother, the vendor seems very pleasant, and I'd rather this one went to me than someone new to the pattern. I just hope Wright's don't mess him about the way they did meI guess you get to join the club of slightly disappointed buyers of newer lambs.![]()
I am very glad it went your way buddyThank you, Jack.
It is nicely worn in and hands-down my most carried pocket knife... and I have you to thank for it.
I just wish they'd leave the edges alone, I'd rather have them blunt. At the time John Maleham sold the company, one of the old cutlers, who wasn't very good anyway, decided to retire. That left the new owner with two cutlers. At the same time, Ashley injured his hand, and needed to take some time off. There was another guy who John used to use to do jobs at his other small business up in the factory's attic. I have only ever seen him once. After John retired, I'm guessing he was given other work. I certainly hadn't seen any other edges like the one below, before i opened the parcel containing my last SFOFix the edge on that knife and you've got a good one.![]()

I noticed Henderson's was on offer in the supermarket yesterday, but I'm glad I didn't buy a bottle, as it turned out I already had three in the cupboard!Mind you, the 'best before' date on them is still several years hence!
There is a 'money back guarantee' now! Are they joking?!

DefinitelyThere is, isn’t there? I think Depp and Turturro were great in it.
I'd have to move house Barrett!Nice pic, Jack. I’ll save my “are you taking up the clarinet” joke as it’s already been covered.![]()
They KNOW nobody's going to take Henderson's back! What do they need a money-back guarantee for?Any seasoned Guardian of the Condiments knows that trying new condiments is a gamble. At worst you’re out a few bucks and you get over it.
Yeah, I'm sure I will BarrettShame about the shoddy edge, Jack. Hope you can at least make it useable, if not good-looking.
