Sorry to hear that Bob, but I'm sure you still have plenty to be thankful for my friend, not least that darned, elusive, Sha-a-dow![]()

How is everyone doing? I hope all our US Guardians are having a wonderful day with friends and familyI've just made it back from the market, where it's been wet, windy, and cold enough to stiffen your bones
Back in the days of hob-nailed boots, Blakey's of Leeds, and their iconic 'segs' were famous throughout the British Empire, and they were still famous in Britain when me and Tool Man were lads. Blakey's are still made, but they moved out of Yorkshire nearly a decade ago. Ex-Para Steve is always finding interesting things on the market, and a couple of weeks back, he purchased this unique brass key fob. After much prompting, he very generously gave it to Tool Man last week. Pretty cool I think, particularly for a Leeds Lad![]()

As well as being thankful for getting in out of the cold, I'm grateful for all the great friends I've made here, and for the continued rise of the Lambsfoot![]()

I do love my pockets Pete! Thanks Jack playing around after dinner.
Sounds cold at least you will have lots of pockets for all your bits bet you ate looking forward to the holidays.
Nice Cornet if I’m not mistaken. I learned how to play on one of those that my parents bought at a garage sale and it had so many dents in it I’m pretty sure it was used as a murder weapon. Eventually I got upgraded to a silver trumpet which has since been passed down to several siblings, nephews and nieces. I drove my parents absolutely bonkers practicing that thing for hours every day. My next presents were usually a mute of some sort. I got quite good at it but sadly gave it up midway through college. Never could improvise for some reason and I loved playing jazz. But I had the chops to hit that High C.I'm getting the band back together!

Tool Man thought it was a trombone, I said I thought it was a flugelhorn! Obviously, we haven't got a clue!

Fascinating looking book Jer. That would be a great book to have in your collection.
Thanks. It is pretty fascinating, though not all the recipes are totally primeval. (Parmesan rabbit, pressure cooker groundhog.)Fascinating looking book Jer. That would be a great book to have in your collection.![]()
Jack we had a great time and thank you for the well wishes! We took my wife’s Mother down and had dinner with my side of the family. Good food, couple cold ones and the Cowboys won a football game. Good times. There was also a puzzle table with a puzzle inspired by the artist, Charlie Harper.Enjoy your day PeteThat looks like the shirt I was wearing last night!

Down at the market, Nobber Al was telling me his daughter is off to Texas for Christmas, with her Texan beau
I was telling him about all the great Texan folks I know, and that I reckoned Texas is a bit like Yorkshire, but with taller hats, better weather, and probably better food!

Sounds fantastic buddy, I'm glad your Hartshead Barlow was able to join inHad a wonderful day to include a Cowboy's victory. Great Thanksgiving gathering with family and friends from all around. Cooking in the airbnb was a little hectic but we managed. Jack's HHB was busy cutting all sorts of stuff. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. Happy Thanksgiving, Guardians.

On the parallel of Yorkshire and Texas, I would agree they are both full of warm hearted, fun loving and hearty people based on my experience here with the Guardians

Good idea MitchHad to go to the opticians today. I booked in at the same shopping centre as the coffee shop, no point wasting the opportunity.
