Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone is well, and that our US members had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Friday is reason enough to celebrate for the rest of us! :D I have a full schedule today, but don't think I'll be able to get everything done that I want to  Have a great day Guardians, and safe travels to those who are going to be on the road

Nice pic of your Albers! 🤠

Had a wonderful day to include a Cowboy's victory. Great Thanksgiving gathering with family and friends from all around. Cooking in the airbnb was a little hectic but we managed. Jack's HHB was busy cutting all sorts of stuff. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. Happy Thanksgiving, Guardians.

Glad you were able to gather the family Paul.
Thank you also for helping the Redskins with next year's draft picks.😁

Brilliant! 🤣 🤣 🤣

I hope everyone is having a good day :) It's turned really cold here, and is set to get even colder! It was a nice day when the sun was out though (anything is better than rain) :) I sure have done some lollygagging today! :D I called in at Charlie's, and was chatting to Hisham, the owner, when a Moroccan friend of his, made a surprise visit from Sheffield, so we ended up talking about Sheffield. When I returned from going to town, they were back in the cafe, and after chatting to them for a while, I got talking to an older Algerian gentleman, and having a wide-ranging chat about his time working in restaurants, in London, in the 80's, and at various Leeds engineering firms, more recently :D On the way home, there was some sort of Christmas Fair taking place outside my local library, complete with a rather early in the calendar Santa!😂 Someone asked me if I had made any Black Friday purchases. Yes, a potato, and a packet of pikelets! 🤣

Morning Guardians! Went to work this morning to start running things again and everything crashed. Not sure what happened. I was sent home as they wouldn't be able to get everything running today. Jack it's turned off colder here also. Chance of ice and snow tomorrow. Kat is riding shotgun today.

I'm not sure if that's good or bad David, but hopefully you have the weekend off, and can relax :) Keep warm my friend, we have snow forecast for next week 🥶 A friend of mine is going on a helicopter ride tomorrow, so I hope they've got a warm coat! Kat is looking good :)
We are out about visiting the wife’s clan today. Brought the CC lamb with its fitting fall colors. I hope everyone enjoys their Friday to the fullest. View attachment 2401834View attachment 2401835
You've captured that gorgeous jigging well there Pete :) Have a great weekend

When I was out with my pal Matt the other night, he was showing me the photos from his recent trip to Iceland. As it was his 40th birthday, him and the missus pushed out the boat, and booked a trip up a volcano for the day itself. They got taken up in a huge SUV, with vast wheels, and chunky tyres (with adjustable air down to 5 PSI). Two and a half hours into the Icelandic wilderness, one of the tyres blew out, and the driver didn't have a spare! The tyre foam was so old it had dried up, and there was no phone signal! The driver, reckoned he could find a phone signal further round the mountain, so he left them in the vehicle, and set off on foot. About four hours later, the driver's mate arrived in a truck, bringing a spare tyre. The tyres on the 'rescue vehicle' were completely bald, and falling apart, and since he didn't carry a spare either, it's lucky he made it up the mountain! 😖 By the time the tyre was changed, it was going dark, so my mate never got to see the volcano 🤨 They did at least get back safely though (no thanks to the idiots they'd booked with)! 😣

View attachment 2401849My Albers Caribbean Blue Lamb had a little blemish or something on one side of the bevel which I finally got around to correcting today. Not sure if that was form previous owner sharpening it or came like that from Albers. Regardless, it was also very close to sitting a tad proud so I knocked down the kick as well. I debated if I should pull out the TSPROF or just use the worksharp grinder attachment. I ended up using the worksharp on the second to finest belt to start on the edge so as not to take off more metal than I needed to. Used the stiff belts so as to reduce the convex edge but it still ends up being a bit convex which I’m good with. A little more aggressive belt to shave a bit off the kick. Took just a few minutes. I tend not to use it on carbon steel because it can take off a ton in seconds. Thankfully I didn’t mess anything.

By the way, when did photos start being added on top of text? I hate that.

I got an elastic band exercise gizmo for $15, down from $40.
To help along my shoulder therapy.
I'd better open it up and see if it's all there.

I won't be doing much exercising today, after picking up six bags of leaves from where they collect along my east wall and in my southeast corner. Turns out those plastic clam hands I bought last year are the quickest way to do it.

Thanks Jack !
Sorry about that typo Steve! :D
