Barrett, glad Scout is able to enjoy Thanksgiving now. Those cookies look delicious. Those are the vans I’ve seen recently. Rear wheel drive will be interesting come winter.
That sounds pretty early-90s.I have a friend who swears by Merrell. I’ve tried a few on but never found any that I like enough to buy them.I have a couple decent Columbia jackets, but I’m not surprised that their shoes aren’t great.
Probably so.We have at least gotten to the time of year, now that the leaves are (almost) all gone, where you can actually sort of see the house before you get to the end of the street.

(That’s Lake Minnetonka you can see just a bit of through the trees at the end of the street.)
Pretty cool cop car. When I was a kid, the local police had a couple sports/muscle cars that they had confiscated from drug dealers and turned into cop cars. They’d bring ‘em by local school and use them as part of an anti-drug presentation, but thinking back I’m not really sure what lesson we were supposed to take away from it, other than “drug dealers have cool cars”?
A couple nights ago I baked a last-minute batch of these cookies that my grandma used to make, which we call Mamaw cookies. Scout needed a family holiday tradition for her preschool Thanksgiving celebration, and we always make these around the holidays. Unfortunately Scout got sick the morning she was supposed to take them to preschool and had to stay home (she’s better now). I guess we’ll just have to eat the cookies ourselves.

Sounds like a decent day at the market dispite the cold. Glad your out of the cold now. Cool key fob. Big Rose sure is looking good! How is everyone doing? I hope all our US Guardians are having a wonderful day with friends and familyI've just made it back from the market, where it's been wet, windy, and cold enough to stiffen your bones
Back in the days of hob-nailed boots, Blakey's of Leeds, and their iconic 'segs' were famous throughout the British Empire, and they were still famous in Britain when me and Tool Man were lads. Blakey's are still made, but they moved out of Yorkshire nearly a decade ago. Ex-Para Steve is always finding interesting things on the market, and a couple of weeks back, he purchased this unique brass key fob. After much prompting, he very generously gave it to Tool Man last week. Pretty cool I think, particularly for a Leeds Lad![]()
