Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and having a good week. I had a text from my mate Bod, who relocated to Poland a few years back, last night, and he is making a flying visit tonight. I've arranged to meet him in the pub, and I'm going to the cinema with my friend Matt, today, so it's going to be a bit of a rush. Tomorrow, I have a dental appointment, which will limit my attendance at the market, and then Friday I'm off to a Christmas Market in Derbyshire, south of Sheffield, with two other events on Saturday too! :eek: I'm just rushing to go and meet Matt at Charlie's. LOL! 🤣 Not to worry, I'm sending Bod down to keep The Two Teds company! :D Tool Man has actually known Bod, sligthly longer than he has known me! 😂 Many years ago, Tool Man asked me if I could give him Bod's number, and seemed rather non-plussed when I told him I wouldn't, but if he gave me HIS number, I would pass it onto Bod :thumbsup: That's how I ended up saddled with Tool Man! :rolleyes:🤣:thumbsup:

You might be right Bob! :D I would, at least, have got a taxi back from the pub, last night, but the state Bod was in, I didn't think any taxi would take us! :eek: I had intended to walk him to his hotel, but as we left the pub, he staggered off to get a pizza! 🤣:thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, I had a good night out with my old pal Bod last night. I insisted on paying for the drinks, so, as Bod drinks like a fish, every time I went to the bar, I got him 2 pint bottles of Newcastle Brown. He happily necked these down to each one of my pints, so by the end of the night, he was very much the worse for wear! :D I had been intending to phone a taxi, and drop him off at his hotel, on my way home, but having refused the offer of food all evening, as we left, he suddenly decided he was going for a pizza! :D As we left the pub, snow was already falling, and as Bod staggered across the road in search of sustenance at a local pizza joint, I headed home :) A thin layer seems to have settled, and then frozen over, so conditions on my street look rather treacherous today. I'll be glad to get my dental crown put back in, and I hope they do a better job than they did last time :rolleyes: However, my appointment has been moved from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, so after I've had a shave, I'll have a think about re-jigging my schedule, and maybe meeting Bod down at the market. I hope everyone is well, and that you have a good day :) Got my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket :) :thumbsup:

Thanks guys, I'm just waiting to see the dentist now. I haven't had lunch, so when I've finished here, I'm going to call in at the market, then take Bod for an early tea 😁 No beer for me though, as I have an early start tomorrow 👍

My brother and I went to our old bar a couple of Saturdays ago, because the new one gets more crowded (I don't remember what the big game was). I got nostalgic for drinking, because the old bar has all these fancy beers and ciders, and they'll bring you a sample so you'll know if you'll like it. Or at least they used to. And we were very good customers.
