Great score, and a very historical bit of cutlery.Well, I've acquired another lamb, and this is a really specialwaynorth one! I got it on Tuesday from another BF member, and I think it's spectacular! It's basically brand new, never used. I don't own any knives that I don't use, so this one is going into the rotation starting today!

Thank you Jack, I will go back and read that discussion. I really feel blessed, and lucky, to have been able to stumble on this deal. It will definitely be cherished by me, and then my sons!Congratulations JoeCharlie's knife took at least a couple of years to come to fruition, not least since GEC had not made a non-American pattern before that point, and no US factory had made a Lambsfoot
The pattern is based on an old Joseph Rodgers Lambsfoot Charlie owns. If you care to have a look at the thread index linked to in post #1, you may be able to find some of the discussion and excitement about the knife, which holds a special place in Lambsfoot history

Up on top of the hotel is the Royal Elite Roof Terrace, and next to it is one of the two Royal Elite Lounges - a bit snobby, but the booze was good!

I may not get much time for lollygagging in the morning Guardians, but I'm going to be carrying my 2019 Guardians SFOI think most posters here are aware of Geoff Tweedale's directory of Sheffield cutlery firms, but I'm not sure everyone is aware of his companion volume of Sheffield too manufacturers (many firms produced tools AND cutlery)

Some of you may remember, that on my first night at the hotel, I had considerable difficulty finding my way back to my room - I will never forget it!It was very tiring, and so when dawn broke the following day, I decided I'd be having an easy day. So, I explored the hotel a bit more, read my book, and explored the small beach immediately in front of the hotel.

The beach has a lot of rocks and pepples, but it's still attractive I think, with great views.

Across the bay is Corralejo in Fuerteventura.

I took this pic for Barrettbtb01 !

As well as having a paddle, I had a walk down the road behind the hotel, where there was a supermarket, and a few bars, shops, and restaurants. I also found my way up onto a couple of sections of hotel roof, which had great views over to the Papagayo beaches, and all over the area.

The sunsets are so beautiful on Lanzarote that they are something of an event, people gather to watch them, toast them, film them, sail towards them, dance to them, and they usher in the evening ahead.

I took so many photos Guardians, that I'm pretty much posting at random! So let me know if you'd like to see more, or less, of anything. My first adventure starts tomorrow, with a walk along the cliff tops to the twice-weekly market at Rubicon Marina, and Playa Blanca. For now, Buenos tardes

Well, it was 2 stages above the all-inclusive, but I got a reasonable dealHey, as long as the snobby Royal Elite booze was part of the all-inclusive deal, I say, “Pinkies up!”
Really enjoying the pics, Jack.![]()
One of my favourites Barrett, if Tool Man has any Footprint items, I usually buy themCool pics, Jack. I like the Footprint stamp/mark, and the Domino one.

Beautiful Steve![]()
Thanks for your efforts to prevent relegation gentsTwo fine-looking Lambs there
![]()
They good Rick?I don't think I've seen them here, I love the brand name
Baked beans were served at breakfast time, when I was on vacation, along with the other ingredients of a traditional English breakfast, but nothing was right, the beans were bland, the sausages poor, and I'm not sure what they had done with the mushrooms (probably canned). Thankfully, there was lots else to eat
![]()
That seems pretty common!![]()
+1
Yep, count me in too, Bexoid may not be the fanciest of covers materials, but it's tough, and attractive in its own wayNice example David
Sadly, I'm not surprised mate
I was once over in Sheffield, and had to call in at the post office. My daughter warned me about the semi-subterranean place we went to. Boy, was it rough! It was full of drunks and junkies, with drug-dealing taking place, and fights breaking out. They had several security guards, who seemed to be staying out of the way, and when you got to the counter, it had ceiling-high armoured glass, and staff with a lousy attitude!
Amazing!What a great pic

You do like a tomato MitchI might make some bruschetta later, and drizzle on some of the great-looking olive oil @Tyson A Wright sent me
