I agree with you on both counts Mitch.Anytime mate
Bob it would be an injustice not to use it. I think people miss out when they don't use em.
Used knives have character![]()
Well, we got the weather last night, but not exactly what the forecast called for. (Surprised? No!)
It got down to a cold (for here) 15 degrees F. And we got about 4-5 inches of snow in a 3 hour period.
So the Lamb got to see some snow today, but now she's snuggled back up in my left pocket!

Thanks, that is a really good tip!Definitely, Todd. And hey, they’re really low-carb compared to American pigs in a blanket (if you care about that sort of thing).
Pro tip: cook the bacon about halfway on the stovetop before you wrap ‘em up and stick ‘em in the oven. They’ll take less time in the oven and cook more evenly.
All we’ve been getting down here is rain so far this season, but it’s going to get pretty cold later this weekend.I dub today snow management day!! It is snowing like crazy out there. Calling for over 1/2 feet the next 12 hours. Got the horn lamb in the pocket today.

Thanks mate.Ace pic Dwight
Thank you my friend.Stunning photo Dwight
Gunrunning is dangerous enough, but running dual families... that bloke thrived on the edge of the razor blade...He had to go on the run for 5 years, because he was wanted to smuggling guns over the border for the IRA, and while was gone established a completely new family, which is wife never found out about, and none of the others knew about until years later!
Very nice acquisition David and glad to hear about your doctor's report!Morning Guardians! Got a pleasant surprise with this William Rodgers Lamb from Harveys collection. I thought it had synthetic covers but after I got it in hand turns out to be some nice dark horn. Hope everyone has a good day!

Harvey had a lot of knives which weren't Lambs. Please, if you think you've seen one of his knives here, use the 'search' function. Harvey posted that knife here. If you read on, you'll find other related posts, including mine here (quoted below - emphasis added). But you'll also find the same knife, posted byAnother one of Harvey's nearly lost... lambs?
I'm not sure if this one meets the classical definition of a lambfoot - but if not, I've no idea what to call it or where to post it! It's definitely not a sheepsfoot, or a wharncliffe, so I think I'm good there!
The only reason I recognized it was because I believe I'd seen it posted in this thread - and I don't recall anybody crying "foul." That said, if it's not "lambish" enough, simply say the word and it shall offend thee fine pastures no more!
I've seen quite a few snow pics today, but here in sunny Miami, F-L-A (as Lou Reed called it) the temperature made it up to a whopping 87°F with 63% humidity - it's almost as if someone decided to build a major city smack in the middle of a mosquito-infested subtropical swamp. Oh wait - that's exactly what they did! Blue skies and verdant greenery abound - and you can see some of it in that highly mirror polished lambfoot(?) blade!

While the fact that the spine and blade are not parallel is very interesting, and clearly a product of design, I think that if Richartz had wanted to make a Lambsfoot they'd have simply copied a Sheffield Lambsfoot. This knife may have been influenced by the Lambsfoot, but then it may very well not have been, it could have been influenced by a shoe-knife or some type of artist's knife. With it's plastic covers, and utilitarian form, my own guess would be that this knife had a specific purpose, rather than being a general pocket knife, and that what it has in common with a Lambsfoot may well be coincidental. First, we need to do more research and find out what Richartz had in mind for that knife, and what purpose it was sold for, because guesses are not enough, we need to have facts![]()

Oh my goodness Barrett! I'm having an "out of body" "Pavlov's dog" experience.
Incredible place Jack! You should have pulled a Richard Halliburton / Taj Majal and spent the night swimming and floating around in that heavenly lagoon...The Jameos del Agua is another Cesar Manrique creation, which uses the natural landscape as the basis for something truly spectacular. Unfortunately, the contrasting bright sunshine, and deep shade, were far too much for my camera, and my photos do not do it justice, to any extent

One could easily spend half a day here, but sadly, we only had 35 minutes, which only allowed for the most cursory visit. We descended down a steep spiral staircase of volcanic rock, to a platform, where there is a cafe/bar, and then continued, over less steep terrain to the edge of a lagoon within the collapsed volcano.

A narrow path leads along the edge of the water, and through the mountain. In the water, tiny white albino crabs can be seen, which are thought to be unique to this place.

though visitors should be aware that swimming in the bright, azure waters, could lead to a 10,000 Euro fine!
