Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

you'll be building snowmen with your pension book

Whats this thing you called a "pension"....:confused:o_O:(

Jack I have a fair size library of books written by individuals who I am convinced have no more to share than you my friend. And they are fascinating reads.

I've tried to persuade Jack he should write a book or three about his adventures but he's not having any of it :D I think they'd be a very entertaining read

As always it was meant to be this today, but I've just been called to the coalface so it won't be now. Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Ah yes...a slight oversight!

Your right Jer it is

It's St' Nicholas church, in the village of North Grimston in North Yorkshire, not far from Malton. The church is 12th Century but the font is earlier. Both church and font are regarded as Norman but the font is believed to be older than the church. Some even believe it's Anglo-Saxon, but if it's not then it was possibly carved by Anglo-Saxon masons working under Norman direction.

I was going to say that the horizontal seax carry makes me doubt Norman involvement, but I see they're gripping the seaxes, so they might or might not be slung that way.
The church of Sts Peter and Paul in Great Haseley has a transept that might be the original Saxon church. The village belonged to Edward the Confessor's Queen Edith, if memory serves.

Ouch! What's the story Dave?
ha ha I was trying to take a photo, with the sun behind me, the knife was in a half-open position. I went to move the LF and snap the blade closed. A real rookie move on my part :p You know how you think you shouldn't do something this or that way yet you do it. o_O

Only three times Vince you're doing good. My first year as an apprentice meat cutter was interesting, to say the least. The worst part was one of my duties after cutting up the beef/pork was working with the salt cure for the hams and bacon.:eek:
