Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I suspect so, I have a smattering of Irish Gaelic, but just the stock phrases. The language is actually enjoying something of a renaissance in all parts of Ireland I believe :) Skye is a lovely place, and your grandfather sounds like a great character Dave, must have been a great adventure to cross the sea like he did. I've generally found the most impenetrable Scots accents are in Glasgow, a Highlander or Islander would struggle to understand them - and I don't just mean the language! :D  I only know a little German, I found Spanish much easier, French I know much better, Arabic I once spoke fluently. I have friends who can switch between multiple languages without batting an eye, but I'm old, and travel rarely these days :)

You are a polyglot Vince! ;)
Yes, your right Spanish was easier than German, My wife and I took Esperanto for a while thinking you could travel the world and communicate. I think it went boom for awhile then bust where only a handful speaks it. Arabic, that's like Gaelic :p there has to be a story behind you speaking Arabic, maybe you were in the oil trading business.

Awww as someone who likes snowy winters that's really annoying:mad: The entire mainland UK is further north than Canmore in Alberta. If if wasn't for that pesky Gulf Stream I'd be building snowmen now :D
David if only we could trade off for a millennial or two!:thumbsup::D

If my dodgy knees, crap eyesight and non-existent hairline are any indication, I've not got decades to give...:D

I'm sure that's not the case David, you'll be building snowmen with your pension book while quaffing Sanatogen! :D ;)

I had a mate who spoke Esperanto! He was a few decades older than me. I think if you speak Esperanto, wherever you go in the world there's always someone you can communicate with - but probably just the town librarian! :D I learned Arabic as a young man, when I lived in remote places, where barely anyone spoke a word of English ;)

Maybe :p There was a weekly TV show waaaay back in the early 60's the French Foreign Legion. At the time as a boy I thought hey I want to do that!
Then Rin tin tin series started so then I wanted to be in the US Calvery  After that Johny Reb and Paladin were my heroes.
Have gun, will travel!

Maybe Jack was in the French Foreign Legion.

I forget...;)

Jack I have a fair size library of books written by individuals who I am convinced have no more to share than you my friend. And they are fascinating reads.

Thanks for the compliment Dwight :)

Water stones and a honing rod tonight plus a flitz wiping to remove patina. Tweaking the settings on my phone helped the edge in these pictures pop!
