Such a disappointment, too, first thing in the morning.
Terrible Jer, ruins the day
Never Forever has
Hammer Horror on it too. She's deep.
This extra pic from yesterday is not totally inapt:
Cool pic Jer!

I only know her pop hits, never my thing. I'm sure it's my loss
Hell's fury may not equal a woman's scorned but the fury of the "little mesters" was due some consideration!
It certainly was, the mesters are unique in British legal history in having escaped prosecution on the basis that they told the truth to an inquiry into the so-called 'Sheffield Outrages', when scabs were shot, blacklegs were blown up, and 'sweaters' sent to meet their maker! The cutlers union were a rather tame lot compared to the saw grinders however!
That's really amazing to have been the case so recently.
The cutlers may have escaped prosecution, but the Royal Commission led to the neutering of the unions, and wages plummeted to the extent that it wasn't worth mechanising, because labour was so cheap.
He's a $%@ยฃ!

Beautiful photo Dwight

Tool Man has been buying repro Russian train drivers pocket watches (actually 'repro' is being overly kind) from fleabay, which he thinks are the Bee's Knees

One design has what are supposed to be wolves embossed on the back, but they look more like Alsatian dogs (German Shepherd's), which is the tackiest of all, and which I have named his Gipton Special, after a notorious Leeds housing estate (project), known locally as 'Corned Beef Island', where stray Alsatians roam the streets
In a morbid roundabout way that may have been a good thing. If they had been paid earlier there was probably a better than even money chance that the local hostelry may have ended up with their remuneration and as such Christmas lunch may have become a distant memory.

.
An average cutler was dead by 30, so they adopted the old pirate motto of 'A short life, but a merry one!'. Sheffield reputedly had more pubs than any other town in the kingdom, and cutlers were the biggest drinkers of all. They'd start heavy drinking on Saturday evening, continue through Sunday, Monday (Saint Monday), and possibly into Tuesday or Wednesday. Then came the 'Bull Days', when they worked round the clock to get their knives finished, and get paid, before heading straight to the pub again
Excuse my absence, Guardians. A bit under the weather. Been keeping in touch with many of you over text. I really donโt like to miss a day. Pretty sure I have Covid version 87 or whatever number they are on. Nothing major with moderate flu like symptoms.
Now that we got the bad news out of the way. The weather here in Wisconsin is lovely. Supposed to get into the 50s next week!! Nothing much going on here. On a DayQuil/Nyquil diet

. HHB has been in the pocket and have cut through about 4 large oranges. Vitamin C time. Hope everyone is having a great day.
