Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It was a long day at church- the usual two services and then just time to run home and eat before the funeral. Just about eight hours in all. There was quite a crowd; she was a great lady with a big family.

That's one word to describe it,   disgusting being another. Imagine this, you get to the pub straight after work knocking off at 5. You pour as many drinks down your throat as you can then at 6 they call last drinks after everyone has pushed and shoved to get to the bar to order as many drinks as they can, you then have 10 minutes to down them. Where do you think most of that forced down liquid ended up, on the footpath outside the pub leaving a heaving mess that people had to step through, not very pleasant. That is why most kids were not allowed near a pub at closing time, and any decent lady would not have dreamt of going near a pub at that time. It was antiquated, uncivilised and just down right disgusting. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Something tells me those Sheffield lads could hold it down! 🤣

A fabulous K'roo Bob :)
Waboooom!
Thanks pal! :D :)
I’ve still got mine. 🙂 Fairly recent photo.

That's a cool pic Barrett :)

Recent pic of mine :)

It’s not great. I think I bought that one in 2016 or 2017, but of course who knows how long it had been in stock. I still have it, only because I’d be embarrassed to even give it away to someone else (a feeling to which I know you can relate). 😁
Indeed! As you may have noticed, when we visited the factory, the stock-keeping, both in terms of materials, and finished knives, was kind of chaotic! :D
You probably had to be shrewd and observant to run one of those pubs successfully.
I reckon mate! :D Beer cost pennies in those days, and wages were relatively high in the steel-works. Maybe they all just chipped in for the beer, that sort of thing happened then. I used to go in a back-street pub, where it was just one long open round. You'd just go to the bar, and see who wanted a pint, and there'd always be spare ones floating about because someone had bought too many. Halcyon days! :D
I completely understand, Jack, but don’t fret about it. I love the knife, including (and especially) the little void in the back covers. Maybe the boys at Wright’s were just embracing the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi. 😉😁
I'm sorry Barrett. More like C.G.A.D! I was their biggest customer at the time too, why lie about something that was bound to come to light? The shop in Sheffield were their biggest customer for years, but the manager told me that he always had to check through the new stock when it arrived, as there were always a good few he'd need to return
Here’s a clearer photo, in better lighting, of the pile side of my Rosewood HHB.

While I do think it looks cool, it must have been a bit of a surprise! Happy to replace it if you ever decide you'd prefer one with more boring covers! :D ;)
Hey, whatever happened with your new Dominican girlfriend? 😉🤣
You mean Che?! 🤣 I think I've been dumped! 😭 After Sara's mom showed me her photo, and told me that Che would be my new girlfriend, she ended up becoming quite amorous with me herself, and poor Che was not mentioned again :D She was trying to get me to visit her, and suggested I might want to invite myself on Sara's vacation this month! 🙄 😆 Thankfully, we managed to nip this in the bud, and eventually the good lady departed back home, much to a certain amount of relief from Sara and myself! 🤣 Apparently, she still asks about me, but I've not heard mention of Che! 😢😆 I suspect I've only heard the half of it, as Sara has obviously been quite embarrassed. Her face, when her mother suddenly announced that, as Sara would be visiting in February, it would be best for me to travel with her, was a picture! 🤣🤣

Beautiful  :)

Hope your day is going well, Jack. Waboom is very nice.
Thanks Paul, I ended up having such a heavy day yesterday, and I didn't get half of the things I wanted to do, done, as I was stuck on the computer :( I then lost a long multi-quote here, and realised I was just too tired to repeat it 🥱 Sorry for conking out on everyone!

At work bored to death. Slow…Slow…Slow day. Plenty of time for Bladeforums however 😃. HHB in tote. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Sorry to hear about your day mate :( Nice to see your Hartshead Barlow though
I wish you a good nights rest, Jack.
Thanks again my friend :) The wind continued to howl all through the night, and the rain was falling hard. Thankfully, while it's still windy, the rain has stopped at last. We've had so much rain this past year, that I'm surprised the country hasn't sunk! I worry that the future may be near perpetual rain, like Bladerunner. but with Yorkshire accents! 🫣

That's even worse than I imagined mate! 🙄

Afternoon Guardians! It's a rainey and dreary day. Watching True Grit on the tube. Blue Lamb is riding along.

Another great pic mate :) I'm sure I've had that same card! :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that your week gets off to a good start. Sorry again about my absence yesterday. These days, it takes me, anything up to an hour and a half, just to catch up in the mornings! I think I'll be having another indoor day today, trying to get some of the things done that I wanted to do yesterday  Good time to carry my OTHER Hartshead Barlow ;) :)
