Nicely captured Ken :)

Thanks mate, I had some stuff to do at home, but I also needed to go to the post office to mail a parcel to one of our number. I went to Charlie's first, which is about halfway between my house and the central post office. After having coffee though, I caught a bus in the opposite direction, to a small local post office, where they don't invent rules about what I can and cannot send. Unfortunately, there are only 2 windows, and I got stuck behind a woman who was doing something incredibly complicated, which took half an hour, and a bloke who was trying to send some money to Namibia. The latter was complicated by the fact that the woman behind the counter neither knew where Namibia was, nor how to spell it, and that the customer was a Londoner, who pronounced his 'A's as 'I's, so he kept saying, "No, 'I' as in 'apple'!" 😖 Another downside of this post office is that I always seem to get overcharged  I had been intending to go home afterwards, but changed my mind, and went into town to buy bread, and get some money from the bank. I had pie, roast potatoes, peas, and gravy for my tea, and a cherry Bakewell, but I have toothache this evening. Fortunately I finally see a dentist tomorrow

Personally, I much prefer the common or garden stag variety! :D

Thanks buddy, very kind of you :)

Hope you have a good day Paul :) Safe travels with your blue Lamb :)
Wow 🤣🤣. A few of my good friends were customer service clerks at the post office. Some of their stories were incredible. Let’s just say that people make things incredibly difficult 😂. Not to mention the crazies. Glad you got through it. I recently sent a pocket knife to Canada and the lady insisted that I could not ship a GEC pocket knife to Canada. 15 min after being on the phone she said I could, but under her breath she said “I don’t think that should be allowed.” 🙄🙄. One of those tell others how to live their life types.

Looks like you had a successful day in town, Jack.

Good luck with that.

That's just what it's like at the central post office here Paul. I have taken in their own instruction booklet, and screen shots from the website, which lists everything you can and can't send, and it makes no difference, the manager there still insists you're not allowed to post knives! I used to just use the self-service machines, but they've mainly been out of use since Covid, for some reason  Thanks mate, it was OK. Turning cold again, and with promise of some snow this week. Still better than rain in my book ;)

Sorry I can just make out letters to type, cannot see detail of your knives. Eyes are still dilated from visit to docs.
Good news, I can still participate in the demolishion derby, which is the norm on my roads.😁View attachment 2484076

That's another stunner Bob , congrats !

Still...the one and only...HHB...

Beauty !

Good afternoon Guardians! I hope that all of you are mostly healed up from that crud that seemed to affect so many. Today it has cooled off a bit and they are promising some rain again. :( Well, that's better than snow, I guess!
Took the Senator out for a little stroll at lunch today! Stay well everybody!
