Good bit of history.Thank you BobWell, by the time spring knives (slipjoints) came around, the Sheffield cutlers had already been hafting knives for hundreds of years, so they were familiar with a range of hafting materials, but the Barlows were inexpensive knives, and used cheap materials such as bone and wood
