Growing up as your average kid in Middle America, I drank cheap beer and cheap whiskey with my buddies. Later in life I found the pleasures of a “good” beer but never developed much of taste for other alcohols. That was until some friends introduced me to some really fine tequilas during various trips to Mexico. I never knew tequila could taste so smooth and flavorful. Still not much of whiskey drinker, fast forward to many years later when my youngest son, and good friend of Jacks, had me try some high end bourbons. Darn if they weren’t quite tasty also. Here is a brand we both enjoy.

I've been a bit quiet about it but I've had this Albers in my pocket for close to a month now. A fine member reached out towards the end of the year to make this Lambsfoot available to me. I received it after the New Year and I have to say it was a grand way to start 2024. It's an excellent knife and Eric should be very proud of his efforts here. The grain is more subtle on this Ironwood but it has a pleasingly tactile feel to it - I've been very happy with it.

I've been looking at that bourbon but haven't tried it. I'll have to give it a test drive. Fantastic lambsfoot Neal!

Kristy and our eldest have gone to an Afternoon evening wedding.
Kristy went to Costco this morning & bought me a little bottle of French vodka and a chicken, so a couple of quiet beverages, chicken coleslaw dinner. I can live with that.

Jose Cuervo is for the birds, Neal . My wife’s family would bring the good stuff from Mexico when I lived in El Paso. Oh and lovely lamb .

Thank you! I like large, deep nail-nicks also. Like them close to the end of the blade for more leverage on those ones with strong springs.

Yep I don't often use them as nicks, but find they really help with purchase when pinching open a stiff blade

I've had numerous bottles of it Bill, I just prefer to know the age of my whisky, rather than get hoodwinked with a blend Also, being a grown-up, I'd rather drink 12 year old Highland Park, for example, rather than 'Viking Honour'!

Good afternoon Guardians. Overcast all day today but warming temperatures. Been having WiFi issues for over a week now but I finally got them resolved and I did it myself - saved $100.00. So now my wife thinks I'm a miracle worker. Not going to say anything different to her. My HHB is closed mouth over it all too.

That must have made you proud pal, please give him my best One heck of a Lamb there When folks tell me they don't like red wine, or white wine, or whatever, I always think it might be because they've just not had a good example, and formed the opinion when they were young. A lot of folks here don't drink whisky, because they tasted some rot-gut, as a teenager, for example. Tool Man is very opiniated about all things, despite his lack of knowledge of most of them He likes cheap, strong lager, and the cheapest rum, and insists that anything else is just wasting money. It's rather funny to hear him say, "I can't stand Champagne!" What kind of Champagne has that bum ever had?!

Good morning Guardians, how's everyone doing, I hope you all have something interesting planned for the weekend. It's been raining here, again, but looks like it might brighten up a bit. I feel pretty rotten, but I'm going to have to go out. I was supposed to be meeting up with Wolfie today, but I don't want to give him my cold Hoping I feel a bit better later, or at least stop coughing so much Wishing everyone a great weekend Albers seems to be the order of the day

I’ll be on them until the 4th of July. Not bad. A lot more laid back. The big bosses are not around being snoopy . I just started watching the “Blacklist” which is weird because I usually can’t stand cheesy detective or crime shows aired on regular tv. On nights I will have plenty of time to watch it

That's a long run mate I'm glad you're not under the cosh too much I've not watched that show Paul, let me know what you think Thanks pal, it's very rare I get colds, but there's a lot about here at the moment, and I'm probably still a bit run down after Covid. Could certainly do without the toothache too, but some painkillers have taken the edge off it, a bit, at least. I am still thrilled with the Albers Thanks mate, you too
