Great to hear about Skoll JeremyThanks Jack, it’s my exception to agreeing with Barrett about size proportion preferences in a lamb. I see Skoll in your picture, still doing great here. I hope your Friday starts to improve, you get over the cough and start feeling better soon.
That's what this thread is here for JeffThank you Bob, Dwight, Barrett and Jack for responding to my blade length rant.
Jack, I think that is just what I feel with the 88's longer blade; it's just too slender and "weak" feeling. Beefier would definitely be an improvement, in both width and thickness of the blade stock.
I ate some chilli!Eat some curry!

Thanks Jack, feel better soon!![]()
I know the feeling!
Superb pic!
I guess there's all sorts of reasons we prefer one Lamb over anotherWhile I really like the larger lambs and there long sleek blades. I seem to prefer and carry the medium A Wright sized lambs more. Course that maybe because I usually carry them in my left t-shirt pocket. They also seem to feel better in my hand. My Lambs lead easy lives so don't really need a robust blade.

Hope you get better soon Jack. Nice pair of Lambs!Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone has made it through the week OK, and that Friday isn't too tough on youI can't say I feel great today, and I'm coughing a fair bit
It was freezing out last night, with snow on the ground, as I walked down to Pete's for dinner, but I had a sweater on, and my big padded parka. I've known Pete 22 years, he used to share a house with some friends of mine, but he goes through long periods of depression, and can be morose and anti-social, and eventually, by mutual consent he moved to an apartment on the other side of the street. He's lived there at least a dozen years, and it's the first time I've been inside. I mainly see him cycling to work at the post office, where he works shifts, and very occasionally we have a brief chat. Every couple of years, he calls round to ask my advice about something. He has quite a lot of inherited wealth, but is incredibly frugal, to the point where he saves up 'grey water' to flush his toilet! This is not entirely out of stinginess, he also does it for environmental reasons. When I was in his small kitchen, I saw some small red objects in, and around, an overflowing jar, and asked what they were. They turned out to be the tops of tomato paste tubes, as he was intending to return them to the company demanding they be recycled! When I arrived at Pete's small, and very cluttered apartment, he had only just started cooking, and I watched him cube at least a dozen sweet potatoes. He has a fast metabolism, and eats vast quantities of food! I'd brought some beers with me, and chatted, while the food (over)cooked. Pete was in a fairly good mood, but having similar dental problems to myself, and with the same dentist. He didn't have any heating on though, and a couple of hours later, I suddenly realised I was absolutely freezing. After donning my parka, and walking back home, I was still none the warmer, and it took me a couple of hours to heat up again. I'm coughing today, and feeling pretty ropey
I thought I needed a Double Lambsfoot Day! Have a good one Guardians

Cool Lamb and pic.
Thank you! I like large, deep nail-nicks also. Like them close to the end of the blade for more leverage on those ones with strong springs.I guess there's all sorts of reasons we prefer one Lamb over anotherI like large, deep nail-nicks for example
Fine threesome David

Jack, If the Tlisker Storm isn't to your liking then I'll take it! HahaI've not had the Distiller's Edition, have to look out for itI don't find the Storm markedly different in character to the 12, but I prefer the simplicity of the whiskies that are sold by age. I have a bottle of Storm in my whiskey pile, might be next

I've been a bit quiet about it but I've had this Albers in my pocket for close to a month now. A fine member reached out towards the end of the year to make this Lambsfoot available to me. I received it after the New Year and I have to say it was a grand way to start 2024. It's an excellent knife and Eric should be very proud of his efforts here. The grain is more subtle on this Ironwood but it has a pleasingly tactile feel to it - I've been very pleased with it.

Beautiful HHB!Good afternoon Guardians. Overcast all day today but warming temperatures. Been having WiFi issues for over a week now but I finally got them resolved and I did it myself - saved $100.00. So now my wife thinks I'm a miracle worker. Not going to say anything different to her. My HHB is closed mouth over it all too.
