Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It is indeed David, up on the hill above Hebden Bridge, an old weaver's village, but with two pubs and a small museum. It's well worth visiting in my opinion. I've mentioned it in a couple of prior threads (including the Wizard's Quest), but unfortunately, the photos are gone now. I think you would enjoy the annual Pace Egg play on Good Friday

I was last up that way visiting 'Abel Cross' on the Pennine Way.

David, there's only 35 million living here I'm sure we can find a spot for you. :p

But could you bake enough muffins...?? :D

Today's efforts.

And as I'm probably busy tomorrow may I wish an early Happy Thanksgiving to all our U.S members

It turns out the photos ARE still there (maybe PB was down yesterday or something): https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...part-17-–-what-a-way-to-spend-easter.1175566/

That's a very interesting link David, it looks like you've had an industrious day

Aww, Dwight. So sorry to hear this. My condolences to you and your family.
Thank you Gary.

So sorry to hear this Dwight, much peace to you and the family.
Thank you Dave.

My condolences sir, to you and your family.
Thank you David. You have posted some beautiful scenic shots and the book case is looking superb.

Very sorry to hear that Dwight :( Sincere condolences my friend, to you and your family, and I hope that time eases the sorrow. Thank you for that lovely photo
Thank you Jack.
Very sorry to hear of your loss. Your family is in my prayers.
Thank you very much.

Sorry to read that. It's a hole in the heart that will never close. I feel sad for you. I wish I could take a part of that pain but unfortunately I've learned that it's impossible
Thank you J. P.

My deepest condolences, Fodderwing.
Thank you Rachel.

I've been smoking brisket, turkey and chicken since sun up. Happy thanksgiving guardians and safe travels! :)

I am sorry to hear about your loss my friend.
...
I haven't had much to say lately but you all make life a little brighter. The last week and a half has been rough. I laid my dad to rest yesterday.
Thanks, Dwight. The loss of a pet hurts, but the loss of a father is immeasurably harder. My condolences on losing your dad.

Had front row seats at a Gordon Lightfoot concert a few years ago.
Nice pic, Gary. Gotta get me one of them rosewood lambsfoots.
Thanks, Vince. :) Union Jack, my rosewood, is my favorite lambsfoot (but my stag Cracker Jack is making up ground fast in the popularity race ;)).

Over here in Lancashire, we were always told that as Yorkshire is 'God's Own Country', all Yorkshiremen can walk on water :D:D

I enjoy rumors fueled by rivalries (if I'm not involved)!:p
Another remarkable vista, David - thanks for the wonderful photos!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for your kind words and for the tunes GT :D When I taught English in France, if I wore the same suit or tie twice I got gossiped about! Hope you're enjoying carrying your Union Jack, it's looking well :) Perhaps because they are common here, I think I have tended to overlook the rosewood models, but the wood is certainly beautiful

Nicely captured GT :)

Much obliged for your remarks, Jack. :) Your AC looks fantastic on those "exposed roots"!:cool::thumbsup:

:D:D

I'll be spending today shuttling to and from the airport, picking up my brothers. After I get back, I'll have to decide which Lambsfoot will be with me on Thanksgiving Day. I'm leaning toward the li'l sambar.

Lovely and useful comparison shot, r8shell!:thumbsup::cool: Why play favorites? On this day to celebrate gratitude, recognizing all three seems imperative! ;)

...
I think I'm going to carry this one tomorrow, from 2017

My dad was sent to Montessori. He didn't see why he had to learn to use a button-hook when shoes no longer had buttons. Gramma said it was one of Professor Montessori's [enthusiasms? crotchets? things?]
Montessori's still highly thought of, and I'd bet they're over the button-hook thing.

Jer I will have to see if the button- hook is still on the agenda. :p If nothing else I hope they teach the kids how to tell time using an analog clock. :D

Thanks for the link Jack! I'll have to come back to that as I'm having some right pesky internet woes at the mo'.

Thanks Dwight kind words indeed :thumbsup:. It was just a rough and ready bookcase to tidy up a corner of a spare room. Couple of the joints were quite a poor fit in the end but I was thinking it 'seems' sturdy enough when an old Viking saying popped into my head;
'Praise day at even, a wife when dead, a weapon when tried, a maid when married, ice when 'tis crossed, and ale when 'tis drunk'.

...and bookcases when they have books on :)

Hope your well.

Cool pic Vince :) I'm thankful for the Gulf Stream as it's cold enough here today - raining too :( I'm just warming up with coffee and a mince pie after a morning in Leeds market

I curse the Gulf Stream... :D I'd much rather have Dave's view

In the history of the human race there have been some great rivalries. Communism and the Free Market West, the English and the French, God and Satan.... But these were just trifling spats in comparison to the supposed rivalry between the two English counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire. :D

Dad’s sausage roll for thanksgiving breakfast, we live closest so we go early to setup and decorate

Sausage rolls for breakfast!! I think it's time us Brits' got our act together and got a piece of this Thanksgiving malarky :D

A not so remarkable vista from my walk on Thursday.
