Good morning Guardians. Got up this morning in a bit of a funk. I sleep well enough but I just could not get myself going. Went for a more leisurely walk and came home still feeling sluggish. Finally perked up. Don't know what in the world was going on but right now I am packed with power and planning on going outside for some yard work. Got my HHB with me and ready for action.

I know the feeling Bill. After watching the news, I forced myself to cut the lawn. Now ready for the day!

Spent the good part of the morning reflecting on the brothers lost in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now I am chasing my kids around the house waiting for some delicious BBQ to smoke. Hope you all are having a great day.

Thanks Steve, I'm not sure what they sell over the counter here, but docs are very down on sleeping tablets here these days. A while back, the guy who makes my coffee in the market, recommended something herbal, but I forget the name. I'm hoping the doc can adjust my blood pressure medication, as I think that's the cause

Benadryl is an antihistamine (Diphenhydramine) which causes drowsiness. I would be surprised if you can't get it over the counter as it's a pretty common allergy medicine.

I hope you can get your meds adjusted if that's what's causing it.

Been a productive afternoon, bought new pair of boots. This is gonna shock ya. The factory that makes these is an hour's drive from here & have a factory outlet couple of suburbs over good to support local makers. going to go spray them before I wear them.

Then went shopping and got a coffee

Benadryl is an antihistamine (Diphenhydramine) which causes drowsiness. I would be surprised if you can't get it over the counter as it's a pretty common allergy medicine.

I hope you can get your meds adjusted if that's what's causing it.

Thank you Steve, I didn't know Benadryl was an antihistamine. I actually took half of an antihistamine tablet, (Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride) with my other meds, last night. The doc gave me them some years ago, but a full one (25mg) leaves me feeling groggy the next day. I think Wolfie might take something like Benadryl, as we were discussing it recently. It's very possible that my new BP meds and my insomnia are unconnected, but it's a little different to the insomnia I occasionally suffer with. Thanks for your help buddy

Congratulations mate, it's a great thing to be able to buy locally-made Obviously, my 2 pairs of Redbacks weren't made at the bottom of my street, but I like the fact they are still made in Australia I ordered a new 5.11 jacket last night (like I need one), but sadly, it's a long time since their gear was made in the USA

Good morning Guardians, holiday weekends are called Bank Holiday weekends here, and being self-employed, they kind of mess me up a bit. Even though I was actually working yesterday, it still feels like Monday today! I need to get a shave, and then I have to go hunt for bread! I tried to get some locally yesterday afternoon, but the local shops just sell rubbish ('white sliced'). I had a nice bakery, just down the road, some years back, but it went out of business. I couldn't even find any bagels, so what I ended up getting was Bulla Cakes, which weren't really what I wanted! I hope you all have a good day Carrying my US Navy Needham Lamb a day late
