Your A.Wright is sweet.
Good morning Guardians. What a great start to a beautiful October dayβ¦oh wait, itβs the first day of July! Itβs 54 degrees and Iβm wearing a hoodie!Iβd have a fire going if I had enough wood cut.
We had another great weekend and I apologize for my absence but around here βlake lifeβ starts around 4:00 pm on Friday and ends around 4:00 pm on Sunday and lately itβs been commanding most, if not all, all of my attention!
Starting the day with CB of course.

Thanks a lot SteveHope you have a good time with Eve !
Great to see that one again Bob
Fantastic Todd, I love those sort of impromptu performances! Thanks Jack. We did have a great time but it got a little weird at our favorite Mexican restaurant. It was very crowded, more than usual for sure, we soon learned why. The hotel next to the restaurant was hosting an Elvis convention and one of the impersonators found his way to the cantina for a karaoke performance. Itβs was a blast!![]()

Weβre enjoying it while it lasts. Getting hot again by Wednesday.LOL!Sounds like my kind of place Todd
I remember, when I had just decided to move to Leeds 20-odd years ago, I ended up boozing with some younger friends, and someone told me, "In Leeds, the weekend starts on WEDNESDAY!"
It did back then too
Hard to believe it's July here too buddy, I just put my heating on!

Sounds like a full day Jack!I hope everyone is having a good dayI was up early, to get some work done, before I met up with Eve, at a coffee shop about a mile up the road. Her and her boyfriend, Chris, have just got back from 10 days in the USA, visiting New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Kentucky, and they had a good time. Strangely, they bumped into David Letterman TWICE, once in the street in New York, and again at the Indy 500
I guess the US is smaller than I'd figured!
After having coffee, we headed over to a favourite cafe in one of Leeds' satellite towns, but by the time we got there it was raining. Fortunately, there were free tables, as the place gets pretty busy. I had a Philly cheesesteak sub, something I've never tried before. The sub was nearly as big as my forearm, and came with a huge pile of fat-cut chips, and a mountain of coleslaw, which was way beyond me
It was raining even worse outside, after we'd finished, and with all the Leeds' museums closed on Monday, we were struggling to think of something to do. We ended up heading to another local suburb, and visiting a bookshop there, then grabbing another coffee
Since getting back home, I've managed to get a bit more work done, but my internet connection has been terrible again
I certainly won't be eating this evening!
