Good morning Guardians. What a great start to a beautiful October day…oh wait, it’s the first day of July! It’s 54 degrees and I’m wearing a hoodie! 🀣 I’d have a fire going if I had enough wood cut.
We had another great weekend and I apologize for my absence but around here β€œlake life” starts around 4:00 pm on Friday and ends around 4:00 pm on Sunday and lately it’s been commanding most, if not all, all of my attention! 🀣
Starting the day with CB of course.

Sounds pretty rough 😁

Cool shot and coin !

All good Jack, got to appreciate the changing seasons πŸ˜‰
Evening all
I hope we continue to have seasons Mitch :) Looks like you've had a good day :)

Rose Beast is looking good Jer :)
Hope you have a good time with Eve !
Thanks a lot Steve :)
Great to see that one again Bob

Thanks Jack. We did have a great time but it got a little weird at our favorite Mexican restaurant. It was very crowded, more than usual for sure, we soon learned why. The hotel next to the restaurant was hosting an Elvis convention and one of the impersonators found his way to the cantina for a karaoke performance. It’s was a blast! 🀣
Fantastic Todd, I love those sort of impromptu performances! :D The good ones anyway ;) :D

LOL! :D Sounds like my kind of place Todd :D I remember, when I had just decided to move to Leeds 20-odd years ago, I ended up boozing with some younger friends, and someone told me, "In Leeds, the weekend starts on WEDNESDAY!" :D It did back then too ;) Hard to believe it's July here too buddy, I just put my heating on!🀨
Beautiful image Jack. I hope you have a great day with Eve.
Thanks a lot Dwight :)
That's a stunning pic, and a very cool coin there with your '19  :)
Good morning Guardians !

Carrying Charlie Lamb to start of the week πŸ‘

I hope the rest of the week is as good as that Steve :)
Morning Guardians! Hope y'all have a great day. I'm off to the doctor's office. Kat is me sidekick today

Good luck at the docs David :) Nice pocket choice

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I was up early, to get some work done, before I met up with Eve, at a coffee shop about a mile up the road. Her and her boyfriend, Chris, have just got back from 10 days in the USA, visiting New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Kentucky, and they had a good time. Strangely, they bumped into David Letterman TWICE, once in the street in New York, and again at the Indy 500  I guess the US is smaller than I'd figured! 🀣;) After having coffee, we headed over to a favourite cafe in one of Leeds' satellite towns, but by the time we got there it was raining. Fortunately, there were free tables, as the place gets pretty busy. I had a Philly cheesesteak sub, something I've never tried before. The sub was nearly as big as my forearm, and came with a huge pile of fat-cut chips, and a mountain of coleslaw, which was way beyond me  It was raining even worse outside, after we'd finished, and with all the Leeds' museums closed on Monday, we were struggling to think of something to do. We ended up heading to another local suburb, and visiting a bookshop there, then grabbing another coffee :) Since getting back home, I've managed to get a bit more work done, but my internet connection has been terrible again  I certainly won't be eating this evening! :D

I know, but I knew I could count on someone around here for some sympathy! 🀣

LOL! :D Well, those sort of nights can be fun too! :D Twenty years ago, one of my local pubs had a legendary karaoke night, and I remember, long before karaoke, coming across a small Sheffield pub, where every Saturday night, a very fat, middle-aged man, got tanked up, until he was drunk enough to perform terrible renditions of Elvis songs to his 80-year old mother, in the front row! 🀣

Thank you Steve :)

I only buy one or two bottles of Port a year these days, but I have a bottle left from Christmas, so I'm going to have a glass or two this evening :) Cheers Guardians
