Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Sorry for my horrible guardianship everyone. About through my last day of work before my 2 week vacation. Will be going down to Texas to get the family. There may be a weekend in Vegas thrown in 😂😂. I’m looking forward to life getting back to normal and being on the forum like I want to. Carrying the stag Charlie today.

Sorry they have been working you so hard brother, but it's good to have your news :) Tell the boss, I said you deserve a MONTH off! ;) :D That's going to be a happy reunion in Texas Paul, and I hope you have a great vacation :) Impressive stag on your Charlie Lamb
Have a safe trip and a wonderful vacation, Paul. Sweet stag lamb!

Carrying one of Eric’s finest today.

Very nice indeed Jeremy :)
I had a wild hair today and thought I would change things up. It's a little difficult to do when you have found the "one". This fine Ebony SFO from Jack caught my eye though so in the pocket it went.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

I know the feeling buddy! :D It's great to see you here, and that's a great pic :) You've also reminded me that I need to try the Wee Beastie. Twenty years ago, specialist beer, wine, and spirits stores could be found on every High Street here, as they always had been. I could count at least half a dozen, just in my neighbourhood, they were established names. Today, they are extremely rare, because the supermarkets took their trade, as they have also done to the butcher, baker, and greengrocer :( Unfortunately, the supermarkets just tend to stock the more popular, and less expensive malts, so you need to look online, which is a rather imperfect solution  I hope you enjoyed your dram Dylan :)
Thanks mate. Glad things have calmed down there.
Thanks pal, me two, it has been 2 weeks of absolute madness

Spectacular Lamb on a cool background Dwight  Fantastic pic :)
Still Bobstag
Bobstag it is! :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a smashing weekend, and that the coming week holds nothing but goodness for you :) I'm feeling kind of beat this morning, probably my body relaxing after all the recent stress. I'm sure some of Charlie's good coffee will perk me up, but I have a few things to do first. We have a couple of big milestones approaching, so whichever we get to first, I'll run another giveaway. With 100,000 posts in this thread, I can understand why folks struggle to read through it all. Those of us who have done so must be in declining number. Still, we do have a Thread Index to the early part of the thread, which is linked to in post 1. There's also a link to Barrett's wonderful Guardian's World Map too, showing the international reach of our Lambsfoot fraternity. Back to today, got my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket, not a bad way to start the week ;) Have a good day Guardians

I sure hope that's the end of the unrest over there and things can get back to a more normal state for you and everyone else.

Great pic of your HHB on your bunnet ! 🙂👍

Have a great time Paul! 😎👍

Good morning Guardians! Got back yesterday from a family boating vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks. I always get stressed out when pulling a boat long distance. Happy to report my 1998 Suburban made another successful journey! 😄👍
Not chilly enough for a real fire but just right for a gas one. Have a great day everyone.
😎👍

Jack, I hope that you and HHB have a restful and recuperative day. Beni is doing double duty for me both at home and later at work.

Hello everyone, I hope you had a good week. The wife and I went up to Colorado (Durango area) a few weeks back and then visited Sante Fe. We really enjoyed it. Here are a few pictures from our journey. Safe weekend.

Lovely warm stag on that one, Steve!

This is the last day of Man Jack's current turn as Lambsfoot of the Week for me. I'll post another photo of Man Jack at Aquinas College, a Catholic school near where I live. The campus was originally the estate of a "lumber baron" and his wife whose philanthropy established the first 2 hospitals in Grand Rapids, MI. The original Tudor-style manor house of the estate is still used for college administrative and faculty offices, I think. Note in the first photo that there are stone lions lying on either side of the central entryway, and there's a grayish rectangular plaque near the first floor windows at the right of the photo.

Here's Man Jack with a close-up of the historical plaque:

And here's Man Jack lying fearlessly on a lion's paws. (The lions are named Patience and Fortitude, but I don't remember which is which.)

That looks like a beautiful campus, GT. I’m a sucker for a nice college campus with historic buildings and open green space. 🙂

Hope everyone is having a restful weekend.

The color and texture of that jigged bone is just fantastic, Bob. Very nice! 😎

I hope you enjoy your time off, Paul, and that you don’t have to sell all your lambs to make the mortgage payment after you get back from Vegas. 😉🤣

Nice pic, Dylan. I’ve seen that Wee Beastie around (they even had it at Costco for a while, not sure if they do any more). I haven’t tried it, but I’ve been tempted. I do love an Islay whisky, and the price seems very reasonable.

Excellently camouflaged, Dwight!

Sounds like a good time, Todd. I’m glad you, your truck and your boat made it back in one piece! 😁 A Lambsfoot, a cigar and a fire to sit beside, what more could a guy ask for? An adult beverage, I suppose, but maybe it’s a little early in the day for that. Then again, you are retired now… 😉😁

I hope all you Guardians had a good weekend. Ours was busy but fun. On Friday we went to a Twins game, where, coincidentally, they were playing the Cleveland Guardians.

While we were at the baseball game, Julie got a text from a coworker saying they couldn’t use their tickets to the Vikings preseason game the next day, and asking if we would like them. So, on Saturday, we headed back downtown for the Vikings game.

The tickets actually came with access to one of the stadiums all-inclusive clubs, so there was all kinds of free food — burgers, nachos, buffalo chicken tenders, soft pretzels, loaded potato skins, some sort of fancy sushi-looking thing — and free beer, too! Not just the cheap macro stuff, but good beer! Needless to say, we had a good time.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a Lambsfoot with me for either of these events. They will let you into Target Field with a pocket knife, but sometimes it’s just easier to leave it in the car; at least once I’ve had to show the security guard working the entry the policy on their own website. 🙄 Knives are strictly prohibited at the Vikings games.

After our busy Friday and Saturday, we had a pretty relaxing Sunday. Picked up groceries for the week, got some stuff done at the house. It was a good day.

When I wasn’t at a sporting event, I had my Katalox Albers in my pocket for the weekend.
