Nice lamb mate, is it buffalo horn?

Thanks mate, yes it is ๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m happy to say I am through the busy season at work and my family is back home!!! Please excuse my horrendous participation. Iโ€™ve got about 100 pages to catch up on ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

Got home to this amazing Albers. Barrett Generously gifted me this amazing GL-24. Dare I say that this knife is the hottest ticket in town!!!! People are foaming at the mouth ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Not only a great knife but the friendships that this knife signifies is the important part. Thank you btb01 btb01 for a great job on this project and for the very generous gift. Typewriter and allโ€ฆโ€ฆ.amazing. Happy to say I got a cool spotted one with great character.

Congrats Paul ! Glad to hear that your home with the family ๐Ÿ‘

Wowsers ! ๐Ÿ‘

Enjoyed another Cardinals-Twins game today. It was pretty warm out, at least by Minnesota standards, and humid, but there was some cloud coverage which helped, and by the second inning or so our seats were in the shade.

Great day for a cold beer!

We had pretty good seats for this game, and it was an exciting one. The Cardinals were down 1 run with two outs in the top of the 9th inning, but scored two runs on an error, putting them up 3 to 2, then they held the Twins off in the bottom of the 9th to win the game.

I spotted this building downtown when we came to the game on Friday, and made sure to take a picture of it today. Clean, comfortable rooms, $14.00 a week. ๐Ÿ˜

I left my knife behind for the game today, so when I got home I decided the go double-Lambsfoot for the rest of the evening. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Great to see the kids getting out and about, must have been hot by the looks.

I read and reread the baseball bit and it sounds like another language to me but I gather a good close game!

Couple of lovely lambs there ๐Ÿ‘

Lamb accompanying me to let the girls out this morning.

For a few years we raised and bred a show line of Plymouth rocks but they gradually dwindled away mostly from good old basil fox ๐ŸฆŠ

Now I have a trio of white leghorns, my wife a pair of Rhode Island reds, and a pair each of australorp cross and good old isa browns.

Good evening Guardians! I have many traditional lambs but only one the Michael May says he makes based on a design by Trevor Ablett. The โ€œErgonomicโ€ handles I find to be comfortable in hand but somewhat odd looking to my eyes. Though Iโ€™m sure that there are threads about them I donโ€™t see them very often. Does anyone else have one and what are your thoughts about them?

I guess his other knives are based on designs by A. Wright & Sons! ๐Ÿคฃ Michael May originally bought all Trevor's old stock and parts, so he kind of inherited the pattern. I'm not sure if Wright's make the parts for him now, like his other Lambs, if he still has old stock, or if he makes them himself. I remember when Trevor produced the pattern, I thought it looked awful, and still feel the same. I don't know how you think it compares Dan, but personally, I find the classic Lambsfoot frames, particularly the subtly curved Swayback, VERY ergonomic :) Great discussion point my friend, and I would love to hear thoughts and opinions on the pattern, particularly from folks, like yourself, who have actually used it, which I never have
Iโ€™m with you on this Jack which is why I only have one and carry it very little. Iโ€™ve always believed that the appeal of the lambfoot pattern and most traditional slip joints is their elegant design and style. I guess itโ€™s no wonder they donโ€™t show up on the Forum more. ๐Ÿคท

Funny looks is why I havenโ€™t bought one.

Thanks pard.
Cool pic Dwight
Thanks pal.
Oh for joy, my day started with a healthy skunk greeting me at the back door!!!
This is definitely a Wright blade. I will have to work on the uneven edge later.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

A couple summers ago we had two tiny new born skunks hanging out in our yard for several days. Had to shampoo the pup multiple times. ๐Ÿ˜
I took an extra pic of my โ€˜24 Guardians Lamb last night.
Worthy of many extra pics!
The first and only time I fired a Bond, I decided never again with defensive .410 loads. I would like to try some .45LC cowboy loads. Super cool and well built and the lamb foot is
If you miss the noise will be enough to do the job. ๐Ÿ˜
How do you carry such a large pocket knife? Backpack?
You'd think I was in TEXAS wouldn't ya?
Yesterday I went out front to get the mail and thought โ€œwow it feels really nice outside.โ€

Came back in and went to check the thermometer on the back porch. 96F.
I must be losing my mind. ๐Ÿ˜†

Thanks, Jack.

As I was writing that part out, I knew it might be troublesome for our non-American friends. Sorry about that. ๐Ÿ˜ Iโ€™d try to find a helpful video on baseball like the footy one you shared, but Iโ€™m not sure it would help translate that. ๐Ÿคฃ The Cardinals were about to lose, the other team made a mistake that allowed them to score, and they ended up winning.

After church and a long dog walk we headed out to a local winery. GL-24 on duty for snacks. Good times.

Looks like you had a nice time, Tyson. Hope the โ€˜24 performed well.

Sounds like the twin cities" version of Alcatraz!

The building doesnโ€™t exactly inspire confidence, does it? ๐Ÿ˜

It reminded me of this line from the Roger Miller song โ€œDang Meโ€:

Just sittinโ€™ round drinkinโ€™ with the rest of the guys,
Six rounds bought and I bought five.
Spent the groceries and half the rent,
Like 14 dollars and 27 centsโ€ฆ
