They say you should learn something new everyday, well i have today already have. 50 years ago if i drank Southern Comfort i wanted to fight Joe Frazier, now i know 2 things, why and why i barred myself from ever drinking it again. Nearly got me killed one night, i decided to take on about 6 bouncers at a pub, luckily calmer minds stepped in an defused the situation. Back then they were called bouncers for a reason, they didn't have to be licenced and CCTV security cameras had not been introduced, so the " security " industry attracted every thug within a hundred miles, i would have got a shocking belting around the back lane. That's when Southern Comfort got the lemonade. Was the only drink that had that affect on me, everything else no trouble. Have a good week everyone, i'm going to have a coffee.
Sounds like a lucky escape mate, we used to fish a lot down at Portland and they certainly do breed some interesting hairy knuckled, hunched back specimens over there!
Could never go in for soco, tasted sweeter than straight sugar. I always thought it was bs when people would say a certain alcohol makes them want to fight but I have a friend who could drink himself into a stupor on beer and he would hurt a fly. Put him on rum and he’s a different story.

My favourite bourbon is eagle rare, it’s starting to get pricey here though.

This is hard to get and is usually over $130. Eagle rare is also hard to get and Pappy's you need to take out a mortgage!!

I think you might have mentioned the pretzel before BarrettI had some food in the park, it was extremely poor, and even poorer value
Feel like I was mugged!
Scout ordered it once because she wasn’t interested in anything off the kids menu (and we were there during happy hour when appetizers were discounted). It was twice the size of her head.
I don't have any bad memories associated with Southern Comfort, but about 15 years ago, someone challenged to blind taste something. I didn't need to taste it, I could smell it was Southern Comfort from 3 feet away!
I never liked the stuff, so I’ve only had it a few times. A couple years ago, when I did a DIY whiskey advent calendar leading up to Christmas, I had a small airplane-size bottle of Southern Comfort Fiery Pepper. Don’t even remember where I got it. Absolutely horrendous stuff!

Never actually had it myself, mostly because I refuse to pay an inflated price for it. I did try to buy a bottle when they built a new Costco here recently, and I heard they had a couple cases, but it was gone by the time I got there. The Costco price was less than half what you’d usually see it for.Yeah, it’s sickeningly sweet. The addition of fake pepper flavor does not help.
