That is mouth watering content.The last little batch of peppers off our plants this year was not enough to do anything with, but we're not going to throw them out.
So we hit the local farmer's market this morning and I stocked up on a bunch of different peppers.
I chopped the tops off, blended them smooth with apple cider vinegar and pinch of salt, then cooked them for a bit.
After straining, the sauce got a bit more salt then will sit in the fridge for a week or so before use. (I tasted it, and it's mildly hot but really delicious - so more a flavor sauce than a hot sauce.)
I put some potatoes, onion, and chicken thighs in a crockpot and dumped the sludge that was stained on top of it. Looking forward to dinner tonight!
