Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

While I still have beverages on my mind, thanks to Barrett's condiment GAW, I'll post some photos of Union Jack with beverages.
Union Jack with my morning coffee back in the days when I used to heat OJ and stir in some Folgers Instant. Now I heat milk and stir in Folgers Instant, and pour OJ on my cereal.

This is a vacation shot in which the late afternoon sun is shining through the door and turning Union Jack a brilliant orange.

I seldom drink IPAs, but when I do, it's usually Founders Centennial IPA.

Probably the porter I buy most frequently, since it's almost always available and often at a discounted price.

GT, I've been very impressed with the beer choices you've been posting in this thread. Your good taste extends beyond your cutlery collection into beers, I see. I wonder if you've ever had Old Rasputin Imperial Stout (my all-time favorite beer)?

I drink less beer these days, but when I do drink beer I prefer a stout or a porter; if I can't get that I go for a Mexican lager. If that's not available either, I just give up. While Sacramento (my hometown) is decidedly an IPA town, I just don't care for them.

Having a glass of stout, to match me black heart! 🖤☠️🤣👍

Looking good!

Guardians, I am beat! :D I think I'm going to need an early night!

I've enjoyed carrying my K'roo Waboom today, they are beautifully-made knives :)

Tomorrow though, I think I'm going to slip my GL-24 in my pocket :) Good luck with Barrett's giveaway everyone :)

I think you're gonna have to glue that shield back in! 🤣

Just giving my steak board a good oil while waiting for the coffee. Monday morning here so hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe week. 🥰 🥰 🥰 .

I suppose it was all the spirits discussion I read while catching up on the thread, but at first glance I could've sworn that was a Fodderwing Fodderwing -esque miniature bottle of beer! 🤣

Gorgeous lambs, Jack! Thank you for the kind words and wishes of luck! Rest up!

Nice! Our girls love going to the zoo, so much that it’s been most cost-effective for us to have an annual membership. (It’s one of those deals where if you go more than two or three times, you’re saving money.)

We do the same, just renewed it yesterday. $120 for one pass or $210 for the year. It was the first time Billy was old enough to actually know what was going on.

Thanks for the kind words, Tyson. :)
I'm definitely a fan of darker beers like porters, stouts, bocks, and DoppelBocks. But even dark or amber lagers taste better to me than the almost "clear" lagers, although that's probably mostly psychological. ;)

I have had Old Rasputin Imperial Stout once, a Christmas gift in a "sampler" my wife put together for me 3 years ago. Here's my entry from the Beverages and Blades thread where I posted my experience with that brew. (I had a horrible time finding it because I have the bad habit of letting the picture "speak a thousand words" and not actually typing the name of the beer into my post. So SEARCH kept telling me it couldn't find a post by me containing "Old Rasputin", which was my fault, not the Search engine's.)
Gesundheit!! 😁

Here's another from the assortment of beers (mostly stouts and porters) that were Christmas gifts from my wife. I've seen this one show up in this thread, and those who've posted it usually rate it highly. I now know why!! Really great imperial stout with no fancy ingredients (e.g., peanut butter, coconut, kumquats, jalapeños, maple syrup).

The label mentions Catherine the Great, a famous Empress of Imperial Russia. The greatest mathematician of the 18th century, Euler, spent the last 17 years of his career and life at the St. Petersburg Academy after Catherine the Great took over Imperial Russia, and here's a knife displaying Euler's Identity (thanks, Rachel):

My all-time favorite beer might be Paulaner Salvator, a double bock from Germany, but I don't think I have a photo with a lambsfoot knife to insert here.

ETA: Oops! My post from Beverages and Blades also contains knives unwelcome in this thread, so I'll edit out the offending photos and you can use the little arrow behind my username to link back to the other thread if you want to verify my pics!

I always forget about the kangaroos, but aren't there about a billion venomous snakes and spiders everywhere? 😱

We do have bad snakes around where I live but they’re only just starting to wake up. I usually catch a couple around the yard each summer. Last year my middle boy stepped on a brown snake in the yard, thankfully it took off instead of biting. Could have ended very badly.
Spiders we have a couple of nasty ones locally but probably no worse than yours.

Euler's Identity (mentioned in your linked post) is probably the most beautiful equation in all of math.

Yikes!! We do have the western diamond back rattlesnake around here, but even with all of my tamping around in the wilderness, I have yet to lay eyes on one in the wild. We have black windows, but I've never met anyone bitten by one. The brown recluse is pretty nasty though.... A guy at work got bitten on his hand, took about 6 months to heal.

We have a neighbor a few blocks away with their front porch named, well, The Porch. My wife told me that the only people who hang out on the front porch are a bunch of crotchety old guys who complain about the way kids are wearing their pants these days. Too high, too low, too baggy, too tight.... 🤣🤣 I told her I've been one of those guys for a really long time. 🤣🤣

I think my HHB went and joined a gang😯
