Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks, Jack and Bob, and congrats to Wolfie-- looks like he nailed him with a hook to the liver.

Diego is back in pocket for Sunday.

Sausage sizzle tonight

Although the wife insisted I was having salad🥺

He's looking sweeter tonight, will be getting home made freckles for desert 🙂.
Blimey, that pianist has grown another couple of fingers! :D ;) Looks great Mitch :)
Zoo was a hit with the kids, went to the pub near the zoo for a feed afterward. Couple pints of stout got me out of driving home.

Was going to have a beer to end the weekend but have a hankering for sarsparilla!

That's a beauty Alain, great to see you here :) I'm afraid the other knife will have to go

Thanks Jack. It’s been a long few weeks with work (what’s new).
I know the feeling my friend  My Sunday has been getting interrupted by work-related phonecalls all afternoon
Would have been stopped for his opponent not being able to defend himself.
Yeah, that was it, but I think he was well clear on points anyway
I’d like to join in on your fantastic give away btb01 btb01 if I may.

This sweet chili sauce is my version of Franks, goes nicely with just about everything.

Beer is good, but I generally prefer bourbon as my beverage of choice. This Knob Creek is a very good everyday drinking bourbon that fits the bill.

Nice pics Jeremy :)
I hope you have a restful day, nice shot of Waboom !
Thank you Steve :)
Interesting mixture of old and new Jack. The new doesn't compare to the old architecture of course.
Yes, Liverpool has some incredibly impressive old architecture - a lot of money in the town once. I haven't seen that new stuff before. Neither me nor Matt know Liverpool terribly well, and only walked that way because Ruth was parked a half hour walk from the pub we were in! ;)

Got 24 lbs of pork butt on the smoker this morning. Birthday shindig for one of our daughters.

Fantastic Dwight :) Happy Birthday to your daughter, and I hope you all have a wonderful time :) Great shot
The IXL Lamb is apparently bringing out the British in me, enjoying a lemon & blueberry scone from a local bakery this morning. First time having one & they are delicious.

Hope y'all have a great Sunday!
That looks impressive 😋 Before my phone started ringing and pinging, I was hoping to make it down to Charlie's for coffee and cake, but I've had to abandon that idea

That's at least the second fight he's ended like that! Nice to see Diego :)
A sharp knife is a happy knife!

Nice pic of you GL !

I'll have to check it out 👍

Just realized that is my knife at the top of your pic 🤠👍

Congrats Wolfie !

Tasty looking dinner !

Nice shot of OMJ !

Sweet Lamb !
Thanks Steve.
They say a sharp knife is a happy knife!

Appears to be a happy (and great looking) knife.

Sorry to hear it, Jack.
Thanks buddy.

Thanks mate.

Great pic of the wee man! :)

Great to see you here Alain. 👍

Same here Jeremy. That's my daily go - to bourbon.
Great minds. Knob Creek meets three criteria, great taste, moderate price, and is available each time I go to the liquor store. Great looking lamb and accompaniments in your pic.

Outstanding pic Barrett

Thanks, Jack. Prior to when I took that pic, we’d been staring directly into the sun the whole game. 😳😎 Then again, that was the game where we sat in the section with all you can eat food and beer, so I couldn’t complain too much. 😁

I need to get caught up with that show, but it's taken me over an hour and a half to get caught up here!

I still have a few other episodes I haven’t caught up on, but I wanted to listen to the newest one with Charlie, and then got the pleasant surprised of hearing our Guardians knife come up in the conversation.

Coors stadium in Colorado, of course, it's like drinking water.🫤

🤣🤣

There’s a joke about… um… adult activities in a boat, but it’s entirely inappropriate for the Porch. 😁

Nice! Our girls love going to the zoo, so much that it’s been most cost-effective for us to have an annual membership. (It’s one of those deals where if you go more than two or three times, you’re saving money.)

Autumn is punctual thisyear. 🤷‍♂️

Good to see you here, Alain! I’m assuming that’s an entry for the GAW? I’m surprised we haven’t seen many mustards in the entries we’ve had (other than I think one bottle of English mustard).

I’d like to join in on your fantastic give away btb01 btb01 if I may.

That’s a lot of pulled pork, Dwight! Happy birthday to your daughter!

Knob Creek meets three criteria, great taste, moderate price, and is available each time I go to the liquor store.

I think those are underrated criteria for a bourbon. I like trying the rare/hard-to-find stuff occasionally, but it’s nice to have some favorites that don’t break the bank and can be acquired with ease. (Old Grandad Bonded is my go-to for that, and Wild Turkey 101 is surprisingly good for a cheap bourbon that can be found literally anywhere.)

Just a reminder to everyone that the GAW will be open until some time this afternoon. I don’t have a specific time, but if you want to get in and haven’t yet, now’s the time!

A few years back I had a group that met monthly at my house called "The Cheap Bourbon Philosophical Society". We'd pick a philosophy-adjacent book to read (Plato's Symposium, Neal Stephenson's Anathem, etc) and then discuss it over bourbon. My rules for selecting the bourbon were simple: it had to taste really good, and cost less than $30 a bottle. There are a lot of bourbons that fit into that criteria! (Even today, eight or so years later, there's a lot of great sub-$30 bourbons out there. ) Knob Creek and Wild Turkey 101 are great examples. I'm fond of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond, too. My go-to, if I could only have one, would be Buffalo Trace.

Did anyone happen to catch the latest episode of the Catch Bit podcast, co-hosted by our own Neal @herder and featuring special guest Charlie @waynorth ? It was a good episode, and our 2024 Albers Guardians knife even got a little shoutout, which was a nice surprise.

Had not caught that one yet, now I’ve got a reason to look forward to my Monday commute! Usually I can fit about half one of their episodes during the drive in and the last part on the way home.

For some lamb content, here’s my Waynorth 93 catching some rays.

Great lamb Tyson.😍 How does all that cerebral activity work with Bourbon?😁

Those are great! 😁 A few weeks back there was a special screening for the 20th anniversary of the film. The remastered Dolby Atmos sound was surprisingly impressive! (Ironically, the UK anniversary screening isn’t for another week or so.)
I"ll need to check that out. Being completely deaf in one ear my whole life and the other one on decline for the past decade, I doubt I'd notice any difference in the sound. 😂. Thank goodness for modern hearing aids and captions!
Great pic! I like those models. 👍
Thanks! They are incredibly difficult to build. Mounting the top wing is the dreaded part. I just have to finish the rigging and landing gear on that one.
He wasn’t happy when he found out he wasn’t invited!
Basil wasn’t trained well around kangaroos and I can’t be bothered trying to rectify it. Locally there’s probably 200-300 Roos for each deer so not a fun time taking him out.
I always forget about the kangaroos, but aren't there about a billion venomous snakes and spiders everywhere? 😱

Add a week to that, and you'll be where I'm typically at. 🤣

I was thinking that is an awfully tiny pistol! Hope it's a great birthday celebration. With that much meat and plenty of whiskey, I don't know how it wouldn't be. 👍
Oh, for the days when I didn't have a phone! :D ;)
I think about those days frequently myself!
