Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Classic Sheffield jigging

Thanks buddy !

Good morning Guardians, how is everyone? I was working on a project last night, when I got an old girlfriend, in Ireland, gave me a call. Boy, can that woman talk?! She was on the phone for an hour and a half, then went to take another call, but rang me back 5 minutes later, and was talking for another hour! Glad she's doing OK, but I didn't have time to call in here, or work on my project. It was midnight before I got to bed. I'll have to continue with that today, but I'm hoping to meet up with Wolfie for a coffee at some point, and I do need to go into town to buy some groceries. What a busy life eh?! :D Still in love with this GL-24 :) Have a great day Guardians

Jack's Black Spot Lamb 🙂👍

It was also the year that Charlie @waynorth finally got his Lambsfoot run by GEC :)

I had some on my chip butty yesterday Pat 😋:D:thumbsup:
Thanks buddy :)
Cool pics :)

Ah too right! Having not gotten one I completely forgot that it was the same year.

Breakfast of champions! :D

Leon, I just measured 3 of my lambsfoots and I'm obviously thinking of Cracker Jack as being smaller than he really is.
(My daughter thinks of me this way; she often buys me t-shirts that are "medium" when I typically get "large" for myself.)
I measured Cracker Jack, my Ashley's Choice stag lambsfoot at 3 1/4" closed (which is 3/8" longer than a Case Peanut).
Union Jack, an A. Wright & Son rosewood lambsfoot purchased by my wife and daughter in York, England, is 3 1/2" closed.
LamBarJack, my rosewood Hartshead Barlow, is 3 11/16" closed.

So Cracker Jack is smaller than all my other lambsfoots, but not nearly as small as a Peanut in actual length.
I'll try to get a comparison shot "processed" and posted tomorrow. Here's the best I can do with an old "flock foto"; not sure how much size info you can get from it.

I have two of these; probably should trade one.

All of those are magnificent ironwood lambs! 🤩 Your AC is no slouch either.

I pulled up schematics of early elevators, which had areas where that roll of micarta could have been used.
I have also read, that it was used early on, for electrical insulation.
Interesting Bob 😊👍

I met Wolfie in town, before getting my errands done. He was on time for once, but at the wrong place! 😖🙄 He did pay for the coffee though 😁

I've not seen either of these before, thought I'd give them a try, as they were on offer 👍

Good morning Guardians !

We're starting Autumn off with some beautiful weather. This is the best time of year here in Minnesota. It's in the upper 50's at the moment and will get up to 80° later today. There's isn't a cloud in the sky. :)

Gidget is enjoying the morning sun 👍

Nice pic of your '17 Jer :)

Server problems! So I'm going to post this

I spoke to Tool Man on the phone earlier, and he's on good form again, though one of the old Teds, from Sheffield, Pineapple Jeff, has sadly passed away :( We have a warning of heavy rain for tomorrow, so it may not be very pleasant in the market, or very lucrative for Tool Man (anyone with sense will stay away) I think I'm going to give Schultz a day out, might bring back memories of the Northern Yorkshire Front, where he was captured (at Whitby) ;)
