Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Cool pic buddy 😎 πŸ‘ πŸ‘πŸ€

Good to see OTW πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€
Sawman is carrying lots of character David.
Hard to imagine the suffering and loses from that battle.
Thanks buddy. I've been to Antietam twice. Last time I sat in the Dunker Church and pondered the long range consequences of that battle for a long time.
I spoke to Tool Man on the phone earlier, and he's on good form again, though one of the old Teds, from Sheffield, Pineapple Jeff, has sadly passed away :( We have a warning of heavy rain for tomorrow, so it may not be very pleasant in the market, or very lucrative for Tool Man (anyone with sense will stay away) I think I'm going to give Schultz a day out, might bring back memories of the Northern Yorkshire Front, where he was captured (at Whitby) ;)

Fine companion for the market πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€
Looking good David, cool patch too
Thank you kindly Jack πŸ‘ 🀠

Sorry to hear about his passing, Jack.

The lady is looking fine today Steve.

Thanks Bob !

Sounds perfect Steve :) Wonderful photo there my friend

Good choice Jack ! Sorry to hear about Jeff.

Nice pair Ken !

Looks fantastic, Bob! My kind of beach day! 😎

Anyone heard from Paul?
he hasn't dropped in for awhile.

I’ve talked to him a bit. I think he’s just got a lot going on with work right now.

Good morning Guardians, how is everyone? I was working on a project last night, when I got an old girlfriend, in Ireland, gave me a call. Boy, can that woman talk?! She was on the phone for an hour and a half, then went to take another call, but rang me back 5 minutes later, and was talking for another hour! Glad she's doing OK, but I didn't have time to call in here, or work on my project. It was midnight before I got to bed. I'll have to continue with that today, but I'm hoping to meet up with Wolfie for a coffee at some point, and I do need to go into town to buy some groceries. What a busy life eh?! :D Still in love with this GL-24 :) Have a great day Guardians

Sounds like quite a night, Jack! 😲😁 Hope you at least had a few drinks to keep you company during your phone call. πŸ˜‰

Thanks Bob, Eric did a first rate job, I wonder if we'll ever find out how the micarta was originally used πŸ˜πŸ‘
I pulled up schematics of early elevators, which had areas where that roll of micarta could have been used.
I have also read, that it was used early on, for electrical insulation.

I did quite a bit of searching around and could never find anything conclusive, but I find this gate roller on an elevator parts website. Maybe it could have been used for something similar to this.

I met Wolfie in town, before getting my errands done. He was on time for once, but at the wrong place! πŸ˜–πŸ™„ He did pay for the coffee though 😁

I've not seen either of these before, thought I'd give them a try, as they were on offer πŸ‘

Sorry to hear about Jeff. Did you know him personally, or just know of him through Tool Man?

Have a good day at the market tomorrow. Try not to get soaked. πŸ™‚

Sometimes I want a cold tasty beverage that has no alcohol but also isn't too sweet. Here's a mocktail I make occasionally - Fever-tree Elderflower Tonic Water with a slug of balsamic vinegar on the rocks.

Carrying this beauty lately

Sweet !

Rained all day yesterday so did some leather maintenance. Wood knife covers and leather, just love them, still living organism's that get better with age.

It is a great beach to walk and ponder.

I can see where those rollers would fit, as per, the schematics I found.

Half your luck on the rain, we missed out completely here.
There’s a few crops starting to be cut for hay now between lack of rain and some bad frosts last week. Are you still down the Warnambool/Timboon way?

I’ll have to give that leather stuff a go too πŸ‘πŸΌ

Hope the weather man is wrong Jack.
Great old lamb you have there.πŸ‘πŸ»
Thanks Bob, he often is! :D :)
Sorry to hear of Jeff's passing, condolences to you and all.
Thanks buddy, here's Pineapple Jeff and his missus last year

Fine companion for the market πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€

Thank you David :)
Happy Double Lambsfoot Day Ken :)
Sweet Saynor David :) I bought 3 Saynor Lambs like this some years ago, and gave Charlie and Duncan one, but I suspect they had been finished relatively recently

Sorry to hear about his passing, Jack.
Thank you Jeremy, I think I only met him 3 times, but Tool Man had known him a long time. He was a very well-liked bloke apparently
Good choice Jack ! Sorry to hear about Jeff.
Thanks a lot Steve

That's interesting Tyson, I would never have thought of using balsamic vinegar like that

Looks like good stuff Leon  I don't suppose I'd enjoy it if it rained for a month here, but I wouldn't run out of jobs to do
I’ve talked to him a bit. I think he’s just got a lot going on with work right now.
Please pass on my best mate

Unfortunately not! I had to hold the phone away from my ear, as I used to when I went out with her! Nothing wrong with what she was saying, but she never stops talking, to the point my phone overheats! 😣🀣

Thanks Barrett, but he was only a casual acquaintance
It's the best. I have been using it for 50 years. An old, and i mean real old bushie put me onto it. And they knew. Even the smell tells you it's good stuff.

Great photo Leon
Stunning Steve! :)

Well Guardians, down in Miami, FLA it's hot, humid, overcast, and we're expecting 30 mph winds tomorrow - just a little smooch from πŸŒ€ Helene as she blows by. Sounds like we'll be only minimally impacted, but folks further north might be in for it. πŸ™ Hope not.
