Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Howdy Guardians. Had a good trip to Colorado. Unfortunately the Lobos lost 🤦🏻. Kids had a great time and the weather was perfect.

Took the boss out to breakfast today. Country fried steak and eggs!!!!! Went to the Post Office after and shipped out 7 Cosimo lambs. Can’t wait for them to be delivered. Carrying the burl Big Un today.

Nice Lamb, Paul!
You've went and made me hungry! Only thing that meal is missing is a liberal dousing of Tobasco!!🔥

Hope you've had a Wabooooom day Jack 🐑👍🤠

When you get back from Costco it'll be time for a nap. Lovely 🐑👍🤠
I'm glad I had some Waboom in me David! I was just getting ready to start cooking here, when I had to dash out to help a friend with an emergency. I just got back at 11.30pm, but I may not get to the market tomorrow ☹️ Have to see 👍
Good morning Guardians !

Double Lamb day for me

Glad you had a great time pal, smashing pics there 😊👍
Thank you every for the kind comments on the trip, it was just great- Sue and I get to somewhere around this Globe every two years or so- the buying of the House and shifting “ out of State” really held things up there.
Jack meeting up with you again for the third time was just awesome and I am looking forward so much to the next time.

I feel VERY self conscious commenting just one knife here and there because to be honest, the majority of the Lambsfoot Knives old and new being displayed and shared by our friends are very nice Knives! 😮
I hope you didn't get to a pile of work Duncan. It was an absolute pleasure mate. I'll try not to have any accidents next time mate! 😉👍
Beautiful Steve 😎😊👍
Brilliant! 😁👍

I spent almost 4 hours today taking care of fallen leaves in the yard. Very windy today, and by the time I "finished" my leaf pick-up, most of the lawn was well on its way to being buried again. I also took the dog for a 3-mile walk, browned 3 lbs. of ground turkey, did some "schedule research", and wrote some emails. After only about 4 hours of decent sleep last night, I was quite tired by late afternoon.

But I heard some eerie (and almost irresistible) music, so I followed my ears and came to this house almost half a mile from my house.

It's a nice house that often has a couple of big dogs sitting on the pillars near the front door, but what's that bone-chilling sight on the balcony over the front door??
4a.balcony.musicians.near.jpeg

A pair of stylishly-dressed, jazzy (and bony) musicians blowing their horns! The music was so compelling that some skeleton dogs, some giant black spiders, and even Cracker Jack, my stag lambsfoot, were drawn to the feet of the players!

Relaxing in the back yard after working in the front yard with a good rye, a great lamb, and the two very best dogs.

Nice shot of your GL-24, Tyson, and a couple good-looking pups you got there.

As I suggested might occur - here's that Harvey lamb with some birthday cupcakes! (The lighting was questionable and I'm only about a ⅒ the photographer, if that, Harvey was. I'll keep trying!

Today, my GF and I are driving up to Jekyll Island, GA for a few days to temporarily rid ourselves of the hustle and bustle of Miami - a person can only take so much for so long. We'll probably pop over to Savannah, maybe Bonaventure Cemetery (much better for pics than my dining room table), Tybee Island - who knows? We're leaving it open.

I'm not packed, and I have no idea what lamb(s) I'll be taking so if any Guardians have any suggestions to help ease the process - I'm all ears! 🙉

Good looking Harvey shot, Will! 🙂

Happy Monday! This one really is hard to beat for a daily carry.

Glad you’re still enjoying it!

Carrying this Barrett special today 👍 couldn’t sleep so I was up before 5, I thought to myself “ why don’t I do this every morning “ you get so much done,!

I am going to try this once or twice a week- which is hard for me as I am not a naturally super early morning person

Job well done to both Eric and Barrett 👍👍, Thank you!

Some great character on yours, Duncan!:thumbsup:

I know what you mean about feeling more productive when you’re up early in the morning… but I still don’t like it. 😁 That said, I think I’ve just come up with the perfect compromise. I’m going to start waking up at 5 AM New Zealand time. 😉😁

Nice package today!! From Italy to France, then to Canada!! Jean-Marc helped to broker and deliver this great Lamb from Cosimo; number 10 in his series!!View attachment 2697263View attachment 2697264View attachment 2697265
I have to say, this knife has perfect action!! Just hard enough at opening to not break a thumbnail, and progressively more firm into half-stop, and very firm to full open!! Perfectly regulated IMO!!!View attachment 2697397
The finish is perfect; nicely jigged and dyed handles, and multipley rat-tailed bolsters!!
A beauty to behold!! Very nice work Cosimo!! And thanks for the first class service J-M!!

That’s a beaut, Charlie! 😎

Good morning Guardians, I had the electrician here, bright and early, so that's out of the way, and I can get on with some work, and maybe even get a coffee at Charlie's later ;) Wishing all of you a great day

Always nice when you can get that sort of thing done early in the day. Nothing worse than sitting around waiting all day for someone to show up to fix something.

I believe this bill is older than most of us.View attachment 2697510

Cool pic, Bob. I’m not a collector of currency or coins, but I do find it interesting.

Morning
Forgot to post this last night, sausage sizzle for dinner. Post today's carry later, it's going on just 6.30am.

Is that grease spatter on the blade? Must be how you tell you’ve got an authentic Aussie sausage sizzle. 😁

Barrett, I think part of the reason for all the political texts I get is that my wife did our most recent business with Verizon for our cell phones, so I think all the phones are "in her name", and she's a registered Democrat (while I always claim independence from political parties and claim I vote on "character" whenever possible). So many of the texts I get are addressed to her by name, and most are requests for donations to her preferred party.

The ones I’ve been getting have been all over the place, from both sides, and mostly of the mudslinging variety. 🙄

I like the all-lambsfoot birthday greetings graphic! Is that new??🤓

Thanks, GT. I took that a while back for some Guardian’s birthday and have reposted it a few times since, so it’s not new new, but it is a lot newer than the other one I’ve been posting elsewhere on the Porch for years.

Sounds like a good trip, Paul. Sorry your nephew’s team didn’t win.

I was looking at your breakfast pic trying to decipher if there were some biscuits under that gravy. Guess I should’ve just read your whole post. 🤣

That’s some cool looking wood on that one, Steve! 😎

This week has been fairly uneventful. I’ve mostly been home with Scout who’s been a bit under the weather. I was hoping it would be a short-lived kind of thing, but this afternoon she seemed to be doing worse and was having some trouble breathing, so we went ahead and took her to urgent care. She got some x-rays, a nebulizer and a prescription, so hopefully she’ll be feeling better soon.

Had my Ringed Gidgee Albers in my pocket today.

Hope Scout is on the mend, ice cream is a wonderful medicine..
Makes me smile you get a sticker for voting. We walk in name ticked off, go marj the forms put in the box on your way out, compulsory here.
We had a state election in September, some voters received a letter couple of weeks later that an electrol role containing 30,000 people details was lost, destroyed just not sure what happened and details could be compromised. We got the letter 🙄
