The place was empty, and my coffee wasn't worth drinking, so I bought a couple of samosas from the shop next door, and went into town for a coffee. Waitress asked if I had any allergies, I told her "mothballs". Fortunately, the carrot cake is mothball-free

Thanks pal, I kind of feel like I have got the coordinates wrong in my TARDIS, (which will probably be the last time I will make a Doctor Who reference here)! Checking my text messages, I could see that Matt had booked our curry for 5.30pm, so at 4.30pm I sent him a text asking what time he wanted to meet. He asked, 'Next week?'. It turned out that it IS his birthday today, but the meal I offered to treat him to for his birthday, is actually next week!
Matt was about to leave for our local, and invited me along. I spent the first hour or so with Matt, and Cillian, his lad, and then his missus, Ruth, turned up with young Rheia, who had been to an aerial acrobatics class, We had a few pints, Matt unwrapped a few presents, and we ate a disparate selection of pub food (I had the chilli). So I'm paying next week!
