Today is the first day of 5 weeks leave. Had a kids birthday party, auntie and uncle are popping in soon and then some relaxing (as much as you can with 4 young kids).

View attachment 2739729New (old) lamb with my dad’s 1967 Omega. He gifted this watch to me after I rehabilitated it for him (with the help of the very fine people at Grand Central Watch in NYC) for his 80th birthday in 2021.

Great pic Dave That's nice your dad gave you his watch I have my grandfather's Smith's. It's a beautiful watch, but I only wear it rarely. He was a very macho man, and would have been mortified to know that, even as a teenager, the watch bracelet was a bit too small for me

I've been too busy to keep up with the daily threads that go so fast these days, but I'm still around. Carrying some stag for Solstice (dunno why, but it seems appropriate)

I have been doing housework, shopping, and wrapping presents all day, but it still felt like a holiday, after the week I've had. Sadly, it was not over. I was hoping to meet up with Matt today, and he rang me to say he was just going over to his dad's, and would call by on his way back. Tragically, his dad had died of a heart attack I hope I never have another week like this one
