I have been doing housework, shopping, and wrapping presents all day, but it still felt like a holiday, after the week I've had. Sadly, it was not over. I was hoping to meet up with Matt today, and he rang me to say he was just going over to his dad's, and would call by on his way back. Tragically, his dad had died of a heart attack :( I hope I never have another week like this one 😟

Good morning Guardians, I was 3/4 of the way down a nice bottle of Clare Valley Shiraz, planning an early night, and just in the act of posting here, when I received a text from Matt, asking if I'd go round (and bring more wine). We ended up half-watching the Fury-Usyk fight. I managed to lie in until 8am today, before my phone started pinging. I've decided I don't really need anymore shopping, so I'm just going to do some housework today :rolleyes: I might need a bit of Waboom! ;) Enjoy your Sunday Guardians :) :thumbsup:

Thanks Mitch, I always try to be there for my pals :thumbsup: Been a bit deluged lately though! :eek:

Matt's parents had an amicable divorce 30-odd years ago. Matt persuaded his dad to move over to Leeds about 3 years ago, so he'd be nearer, and he bought himself a nice 2-bedroom apartment, in a decent neighbourhood. Since Matt is the sole beneficiary of his dad's will, and doesn't need the money, he's now suggested his mum moves over to Leeds, and into the apartment, so he can keep an eye on her, and see more of her grandkids. So, potentially, there's a silver lining to the tragedy :thumbsup:
