Flynn is at the age where he’s starting to want to throw projectiles at things. I figure if I can’t get him an innocent slingshot, I’ll just have to get a deadly bow

I probably will get him a bow for his next birthday, hopefully he can shoot some of the bloody rabbits living in my neighbours crap like. They keep digging up my yard where I’m trying to establish lawn and around my fruit trees.

Ensure it's a wife approved gift or I don't think rabbits will be the target

I can own a gun in my state, but it would be illegal for me to own a slingshot. Go figure.

Crazy! A slingshot is classed as a toy here! I can't own a gun anymore, nor pepper spray, or any number of other items, but a repeating crossbow is fine, and I can buy explosives, in the form of fireworks, most of the year

Thanks Jack. I too can buy a gun, but not a sling in my state. I have them sent to another state, then stepdaughter sends them here.
Hence I carry them illegally.

Same here, although I did look it up kids could still use tree limbs to make a shanghai but that would be so outrageous to most these days.

Bizarre that they'd ban something so easily made! Cillian, Matt's lad, has a bow, as does Ripley, Wolfie's lass, and she's pretty good with it, as she is with a slingshot

Please excuse my absence, Guardians - I've been taken with some other, lesser patterns. I've finally caught up with the thread and the many awesome lambs posted recently!

I'm trying to get back to taking pictures with a camera camera, rather than a phone camera. Difficult adjustment. Lots of clunky transferring that I've become unaccustomed to. I haven't touched an honest-to-god camera in years. Sometimes I think there's something wrong with the lens - at other times, my eye... and then my mind.

Maybe I'm just used to looking at the pictures coming out of my phone with whatever image processing it does on its own and now, camera camera pictures look weird? It could be.

This picture might be bad. I don't think I can tell anymore.

You can always poke a finger of the eye of the authorities and get an actual sling, not a slingshot.



Much better and less dangerous.
