Good morning everyone! A small teasing today, my very first lambsfoot was delivered a few minutes ago! I need to work a little bit on the blade, so you'll get proper pictures when it's done and ready. But I'm already loving this thing! It's bigger than I expected it to be, and that's a pleasant surprise!

I can now officially ask: can you please add a pin in France? :)
Bienvenu!

Rob, that's most unfortunate, not only the burden of fattiest State, I'm guessing here, most likely a State with Health Care costs through the roof as well. :(
True, health care costs are high. I moved away back in the late 90's and my exposure to healthy lifestyles took hold of me and stuck. When I moved back to a southern state 7 years ago (My current domicile) it was deja vu :(

Figured out a solution that I'm pretty happy with. Now we've all got our avatars from BF as markers on the map.

Hey, well done Barrett, you've really put a lot of work into this :) Thank you

re: " I loved hard work as a young 'un" you know Jack you're right!  I think when I hit 60 the party was over :( Those hard working days no matter what you were doing were fun.:D

I still get a fair bit of satisfaction if I've put a lot of work into a project, but I wouldn't last more than a couple of hours doing the sort of hard physical labour I did as a young 'un I'm afraid :( Yes, especially if you had a good set of mates! :D

Hey, welcome to the Guardians! :) Looking forward to seeing more of that one. Here's another larger TEW

Morning Jack, no I wasn't going to bother with the Viking Festival this year. I think we mentioned last year it's nowhere near as good as it used to be :(. But, more importantly, my February will be taken up with this:

:D:D:D

Although the strikes are only on Saturday, the weekday service is still atrocious. There's still delays and cancellations all the time, so before I start using them again as much as I used to they need to clean up their act. Apparently, the introduction of the new trains has been massively delayed (months?) so it's probable all the crap that went on last May, will happen again this May :rolleyes::rolleyes:
And whilst were on trains, are you aware of the Transpennine upgrade? No more going to Slaithwaite to visit dodgey pubs. :D

No knife for me today as I'm working. Hope everyone has a nice weekend

Yes, it really isn't David :( I hope you have a great time in Norwich my friend. I have been there quite a lot in the past, but almost always working, so never had a great chance to explore. Been in a few rotten pubs and restaurants there too!

It really is a terrible service isn't it? :( Thanks for the link (groan) o_O I often get on the regular bus from Huddersfield to Slaithwaite or Marsden, but the only time I've been on a replacement bus it was a joke, the driver hadn't a clue where he was going, and there was no access for disabled people. I'm hoping to get over to Huddersfield on Tuesday

Good morning Guardians. Happy Saturday and I hope you all have a fun or relaxing weekend. I'm starting my Saturday off with a strong cup of coffee and my Rosewood Lambsfoot, a great way to start any morning. Tonight we are going to a crab feed fundraiser for the high school marching band. It's always a lot of fun with tons of good food, friends, auctions, and prizes. Should be a great time.

I know what you mean Jack. Hard work was fun when I recovered quickly, but now a full day of hard work has to be followed by a couple of days of good rest. I still love to work hard, it makes me feel accomplished, but I prefer it in much smaller doses now :D

I carry a Lambsfoot now...

Lambsfoot knives are cool

Hope you have a fantastic time John, cool pic  I slightly know a guy who spent his honeymoon money on a half-sized Dalek!

Dave I grew on a farm down in the south where all meals are quite the spread. You had to eat like that to endure the rigorous work and heat. Now days the hearty meals are still a tradition but the hard work is not which has resulted in my home state being recognized as one of the fattest states in the US. 2017 I believe they were #1.

Lambsfoot for proper content;)

Yeah, hard work uses up a lot of calories Dave. I struggle to burn them off these days. Another great shot of that beautiful knife

Looking good Ron :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :) A very cold, damp, and gloomy day here, but I still got a decent walk in, along with a visit to Kirkstall Abbey. Couple of pics from the day :)

Better? :D

(Just so everyone knows, the map chooses the pin colors on its own when I add someone. So if you don't like the color of your pin, blame Google, not me! :D)
Great idea for the map . Put my pin on Burlington or Lake Geneva , Wisconsin . Now I need some knife content . The one that I have in my pocket more than any other . And I just had to use that green tractor to move 10 inches of snow .

Edited to add : Jack Black Jack Black I really appreciate showing your Old TEW my friend . And also @Mescladis

Thanks, Jack, happy to do it. (I sort of enjoy messing around with stuff like that anyways. :D)

Did yesterday's snow already turn back into water? :D

Now THAT sounds like an interesting story. Very nice pictures of your carry today.

I've met the guy - Rodger - briefly a couple of times, but I first heard about him from a couple of pals who used to hang out with him 20-odd years ago. Rodger is a total Doctor Who nut, and has a whole room full of Daleks. He was getting married about 15 years ago, and they were due to go off somewhere exotic for their honeymoon. A couple of days before the wedding, he found out there was a half-size Dalek up for auction, and cashed in the honeymoon to pay for it! I only know a few stories about the guy from my friends, but apparently he would get really angry about Star Trek fans, because "They give us a bad name!" Surprisingly, he is still married

Beautiful pics Jack and great knives posted today. Have a great weekend folks.

As you can see, we are experiencing major blizzard whiteout conditions. Expected accumulation - .0000000001 " :D View attachment 1057261

Thanks a lot Dwight, another great pic my friend :)

Thanks again Barrett :) Yeah, it's weird, it really came down last night, but only for 2-3 hours. Then it rained heavily during the night. There's probably some snow on the hills, but today it was just damp, and cold, and muddy :( Still enjoyed getting out though

Hilarious!
But Star Trek (original series ONLY) is WAY better than Dr Who!! (Don't tell my daughter I said that)

I have some friends like that. When they got married, he had Tardis cufflinks and tie, and she had on tardis ear rings.

That's pretty funny. He went way beyond our own knife obsessions.

I like them both equally, along with Star Wars. My classroom is mostly dedicated to Doctor Who and Star Wars because that's what the kids relate to. But my office is dedicated to Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and Firefly. My Geekdom knows no bounds.

Sound like my kind of people

If I had more pull in the knife community, I'd try to get somebody like Rough Rider or Novelty Knives or ??? do a Sci Fi series of knives. That would be way beyond amazing!
